7 for me. We're doing well position wise and there's a chance to end the season even higher and build on that for next season. I'm not getting too carried away though, and the initial point about our position could very easily change my mind depending on results.

Weve got the hardest fixtures mate

And it's still a good season from

What We've had for years

I guess it depends on if you mean optimism for this season, or the next 5. For this season while I hope, I think we will finish 9th. We left some opportunities on the table with players and points, and its not an easy schedule to finish with.

That said, Im VERY optimistic about the future. I think people dont fully grasp how big of a swing our finances have gone through, and will go through. Even during Moyes 1.0 we were scrapping the bottom financially. Relative to the rest of the league, this coming season is going to be the most financial muscle we have ever been able to throw around. With PSR rules in place, and our greatly increased revenue, we simply have a financial advantage over most of the league that has never existed before, and that we cannot lose until PSR rules change.

Top 5 for champions league and only 5 points away. If we can continue on from the win with Burnley and improve our home form to match away and finish the season strong will be the best chance we've had for top 6 finish since Ancelotti

I put 9

It's been a great season. I'm gutted I've not been to more games but the ticket prices this season have priced me out. New stadium is the best in the league by a mile. Great signings in the Summer and January. Some fantastic performances across the season - Forest, Bournemouth, United etc. Easily our best season is maybe nearly 10 years. Everton Women hopefully will do a bit better now aswell which is good and the academy seem to look promising. Home form has been disappointing which is why it's not a 10.

With players like Ndiaye, KDH, Pickford and Grealish there's literally no reason we shouldn't smash the Conference league next season. English teams tend to do well in it of late. I love Everton, I'll always be an eternal optimist, up the Toffees.

Solid 5. At the start of the season we were a 9-12th position team.

8th but no cup action = for par performance.

If we had a couple of full backs lined up in the summer and the likes of Dibling, Rohl and Aznou were forcing themselves into contention that number would be rising. Until then, even keel and hopefully I end up being considered a misery guts.
