Nice to be safe

We have improved a little

We have some skillful players

It is better than the last few years

We need more to go further

Nothing happens overnight

Hopefully we grow and find success

Whatever we do, some will still moan

Up the lovely Toffees
I think we've improved more than a little, compared to where we were. The issues are a) consistency in the squad and b) consistency in performance.

With improvements in a few areas, I think we could easily push on, and for me, I'd narrow it down to acquisitions in three key areas...

... a good quality full back (ideally two, one for either side), a striker and a midfielder.

Had to go for a nice, middle of the road 5.

We are bothering the European spots after years in the PL doldrums and have some exciting young players who could take us to exciting, new heights under the right leadership.

I just can’t shake the feeling that we’ll do something super Everton like give Moyes a 3-year deal and flog the youngsters on the cheap before watching them become world beaters to a man.

Tbf, in the past 10 years the only players we've sold who've actually ended up kicking on and becoming any good are Stones, Lookman, Lukaku and Gordon. The rest either never really improved on the level they were at with us or things never worked out and they ended up going backwards. In that time we've had far far more in the latter category than the former

In fairness to Moyes he sees far more of these lads than we do, historically he has given plenty of opportunities to young players IF he thinks they're ready - in his first spell here the likes of Rooney, Anichebe, Barkley, Vaughan, Baines & Coleman, McFadden etc and the likes of JOB and Armstrong in his second spell. I wouldn't say it's that he doesn't trust young players because of their inexperience, he judges them based on whether they can contribute effectively to the team's needs over other players and if that's not what he's seeing from them in training then who can begrudge him for not giving them minutes until they show otherwise?

Gone with a 6, it's great not to be constantly worried about going into administration, it's great to finally pay more attention to the teams above us rather than those below us. The only problem for me is that I just don't have faith in our recruitment, 2 quick competent fullbacks and a rapid forward in the summer would persuade me to go to a 7 or an 8.

well arsenal is the hardest!
I don't agree - I think we are 50/50 against all of them.

City and Chelsea have been up and down, Arsenal have been limping along, and all the players are going to be up for the Derby.

12 points is a possibility - 6 a probability - 2 if injuries hit and Moyes has to move Jared out of the CB position and replace him with Keggers.
