If we retain Moyes, do you expect him to go back to safety first or non-direct footy come next season then have a go in the second half per usual? If the answer is yes, then my optimism is pretty low. I think he stays and I think he will pull the same ish. We will be okay and nothing more. I am not a fan of the way he has managed the rotations this season and he pulled a YOLO transfer window without a real plan. Just meh

That might suit the new owners?

Only rated so highly because we are not in a relegation battle for a change, have a World Class stadium and still have an extremely small opportunity to get into Europe (can't see too many more points in the remaining fixtures however, been honest)

I still don't have any faith in our scouting. We continue to buy players that the manager has no intention of playing and not buying players to fill glaring holes, instead continuing to play players outside of their best position.

Something has obviously happened with Jarred and Tarky that isn't injury related and this may bit be the end of it.

It's 2026 in our new stadium and McNeil, Mykolenko, Keane and Gueye are still playing for us.

The football is extremely reliant on not conceding, substitutions are still awful and we continue to buy absolute donkeys up front for large amounts.

What's this?

Sticking with 9. Monster effort yesterday, until 85 mins the man of the match was Pickford without question. If we want Europe it's within touching distance. Conference might not attract elite players in the summer but the general trajectory of the club under the new owners has consistently been up so far.

It's just a presumption based on the fact Moyes point blank refused to discuss either CB being unavailable. His mood when asked looked more like a discipline issue than injuries.
It's not an injury, it's illness I think. Moyes is also a guy who keeps his cards close to his chest it seems, probably wants the element of surprise when they return.

Conspiracy theory there in your second paragraph. I agree with most of your point though. We're at a crossroads now. Keep Moyes and more of the same or roll the dice and see if we can get to the next level. Who knows what the Friedkins are thinking about it and how they'll view us strategically going forward

Difficult question. Moyes did amazing on the road but he did a poor job at home. More importantly we still play dinosaurfootball. But he did get results.

Also very few opportunities for the youngsters. Young players need to make minutes (or rather hours) on the pitch to progress. We all know that's not Moyes' style sadly. Maybe he'll take some more risks when there is nothing to play for anymore.

So for this season he (we) did good resultwise but I doubt if it will work out for the better in the long run.

Fingers crossed...

I love your optimism mate.

Just one question for you though, are you a Chico Multi ?
