Its crazy - walking trail not that far from mine has miles of open space and you only really see the odd person but they have now started locking most of the entrance gates that are most convenient for those travelling by car.

Absolute idiots the coppers are - people still need to go for a walk especially with high energy breeds of dog ffs.
I would let the dog put on a bit of weight if I were you
You could be eating him next month
Anyone selling a fully grown st Bernard give me a shout lol

Why didn't you just say Great Grandfather
Most of us here understand the concept of great grandparents lol
I have a lovely old family photo with them on my grandad is a baby in arms - so I respected them both in theory that lot in of a photo of 11 lived in a two bedroom miners house not far from Cronton Colliery, My Grandad was a miner from the age of 11 years old till he was 65 yrs old - 4 died in that photo with TB.... most lived successful lives one being a Mayor.....
If they could battle through those times we can all battle this pandemic one hopes.......

Self isolated for the last week as my eldest had a cough. He still has the cough but its wet and not the dry one the experts warn about.

Yesterday morning he woke with a high temperature and a headache. Gave him Calpol and kept fluids up etc.

So relieved when he said last night he had a shaky tooth. A very stressful day until that declaration.
tell him the tooth fairy is observing the lockdown as well
Save you a couple of quid

A big worry this is.

One in four NHS doctors are off work sick or in isolation
Around one in four NHS doctors have been signed off from work sick or in isolation, the head of the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) has said.
Prof Andrew Goddard, president of the RCP, told the PA news agency that about 25% of doctors are off work, either because they have contracted coronavirus or because a family member or housemate is ill. He said:
At the moment, we think it’s more doctors self-isolating with family members, though there are some off sick themselves.
This is really impacting a lot in emergency departments and London is in a much worse position than elsewhere at the moment, but it will come to other places.
Birmingham is also struggling.
Goddard said that hospital wards across England are “going from normal wards to Covid wards very quickly”.
He added that intensive care units at some hospitals were “really at the limit”.
It was unclear if the 25% off work would be a “rolling number”, or whether pressure could ease as testing of NHS staff increases and isolation periods end, said Goddard.
“Of course the worry is we will lose more people to Covid-related illness,” he added.

As is this PPE being sent to front line staff.

This is Boris Johnson's 'ramping up' supplies? Continuing to send NHS staff PPE that's up to 4 YEARS OUT OF DATE? One of the new stickers hiding the real expiry date has just ONE DAY left - the other is 10 months out of date. They've been redating supplies since before Covid19...

How come Harry's stepdad is out of self isolation after 7 days, surely it's 14.The jug eared get.

7 days after first symptoms ( overwhelming majority won't be contagious after 7 days )

It was 14 days if you've been in close contact with someone with symptoms or been in a high risk area. ( takes up to 14 days for symptoms to show )

People have been staying off because they're not going to risk passing anything onto their own families because of lack of PPE.
