Self isolated for the last week as my eldest had a cough. He still has the cough but its wet and not the dry one the experts warn about.

Yesterday morning he woke with a high temperature and a headache. Gave him Calpol and kept fluids up etc.

So relieved when he said last night he had a shaky tooth. A very stressful day until that declaration.
As a parent you will always worry...glad he is ok....has the tooth come out?

Remember mate, with inflation (since my young days like) a tooth that comes out is worth a tenner under the pillow now. :D

Basically that there was a drop of nearly 21 million (combined between the main Chinese mobile phone firms) subscribers in January and February this year, together with a loss of 840,000 landline accounts.

Various explanations have been given for this - the main one is that migrant workers cancelled their work subscriptions during lockdown - but the suggestion is that it indicates how many people may have died.

My first reaction on that is, that if the Chinese are capable of covering up 100's of thousands of deaths, they're more than capable of covering up phone records.

That's not to say I trust them to tell the whole truth, but I trust in their ability to control details of phone records more.

Can't see 21m people dying without anybody noticing something fishy.

As I said it is a rumour, and it is being pushed by whoppers on Twitter - but it isn't the sort of thing that would be easy to conceal, nor does anything we are seeing with this virus support the idea that it was running around China for two months prior to a lockdown without infecting (edit: and killing) as many people as it has in Europe.
