2 bloody annoying niggles:

What the hell is it with people wearing face masks when outside for a walk? Do they have so many they can waste them when wandering out in a spacious park?

And why are parents/families still taking their kids out to the supermarket as if it's an amusement park?! Fair enough the odd single parent but there's no excuse when you see both parents put in the aisles with a kid or two

That is what they think, but the political pressure after this is going to be incredible - far worse than any event of the forty-odd years of my lifetime and probably even more than the aftermath of the Second World War.

People might easily end up being asked to fork out more in taxes to pay for a worse healthcare system and to pay off an un-pay-offable mountain of debt (which will probably be owned by the same people whose money is mostly offshore), after watching tens of thousands of their friends, families and celebrities choke to death.

Governments doing that - including ours - would basically be making themselves an armchair from boxes and boxes of dynamite, then having a few cigars to celebrate afterwards whilst swigging from a bottle of turps.

The other and possibly bigger problem, is that one way the Government can alleviate the impact of the massive debt, is to allow inflation to run riot. Always an attractive option for governments and one that has been used in the past. Joe Public is the biggest loser from this approach.

Just been out for a walk with the missus for our daily exercise. First time we've been out for 3 days as we were gardening the last 2 days and that was enough exercise for my old back. The missus wanted to drive to a NT owned car park about a mile away, and then walk from there. But it was a nice day so I suggested walking the whole way. We passed said car park on the way to our destination and were glad we didn't take the car. There were only about half a dozen cars parked there, which isn't a lot for the size of the area and number of different walks the car park services. Each of them had a notice from Devon and Cornwall police slapped on the windscreens asking why they were out today and using these parking facilities. There was further information on them which we didn't stop to take in but I imagine that would have been threatening legal action if their cars were found parked there again.

Anyway, we continued on our walk which was extremely peaceful and took our mind off things for a while, and hardly saw a sole in the two hours we were out walking. In fact, the majority of those we did see were in the village where we live. It would have been far easier to maintain social distancing from these people had we driven to the car park and started our walk there. We only saw a handful of people out in the countryside and that was at a very secluded beach we know where there was a family of 4. We were easily able to maintain our distance.

I just can't help feeling that the police are making extra work for themselves here. Yes, break up groups of people who are congregating. Yes stop people driving 40 miles to go to a beach or other beauty spot. But where they are only driving a couple of miles or so to find a more secluded spot to get their exercise, where's the harm in that.?

How about all the limited company frauds working these days that pay hardly any tax? Do the same job as me but get twice as much the whoppers. Get their tax hiked right up after this (as hinted to by Rishi).

We’re all inbred and thick as so probs just people ignoring the lockdown.

I go for a run in my local park each morning and there’s always loads of really old people in there. Saw one on a mobility scooter with a mask on. Was thinking hmm why are you here.
We nearly bought a house there in 2001 after a holiday.
I bottled it close to completion i think and stayed down south.
That house is worth a bomb now and would have been paid off years ago.

Shame pal as housing prices aren’t dropping round here any time soon! It’s a peaceful place to live but we don’t like outsiders. Unless they’re spending.
