Bodybuilding doesn’t always mean steroid abuse. If we’re in the business of making assumptions, then you’d have thought if he was against the vaccine being injected he’d be against pumping himself full of roids.
99% of people who step onto a bodybuilding stage will be using various forms of drugs. In fact PED use in gyms amongst recreational lifters is much more widespread than people think. So to think someone who actually stepped onto stage and competed wasn’t taking anything is naive.
You can call it an assumption but as someone involved in the fitness industry I can say with confidence that he was using. It is simply accepted that the competition is always enhanced. If you can honestly look at that photo of him from the guardian article and think his physique is natural then I have some magic beans to sell you.
Now if what you were actually saying was that he may have only been taking small doses of steroids and not “abusing” them, then I would accept this point but also counter again by saying the types of dosages people take to get on stage are not small and as people age larger doses are required.
As to your last point, a large amount of resistance to the vaccines seems to have come from fitness types. Which as you rightly point out is very hypocritical given how used to needles these people are and how they’re quite happy for the juice head in the gym who works on the doors to jab them in their glutes with some cocktail of drugs in a vial coming out of a duffel bag but won’t pop down to a pharmacy to have a scientifically backed vaccine administered by professionals.
