I've just accepted that I won't be doing anything for the next few months. It's the easiest way to deal with what is inevitable

I can't really see a full lockdown happening in the UK. Pretty much everything is open and has been for ages, most at risk people are now getting a third dose and the Tory party would try to avoid a lockdown at all costs anyway.

I do think Plan B could happen in December/January but that isn't a huge lockdown.

You know your in trouble in the U.K. when Boris starts blaming Europe for something. The UK are seeing rising cases numbers like everywhere else, about 10k per day since last week. I think the overall rate of rise around Europe has been starker because they have been at a lower base then the U.K.. The U.K. have been bouncing around 20-40k a day since the summer. But essentially everyone is following the same trend, we said it back in the summer, things would regress from Oct -March. Different countries will have different approaches, while there will be a reaping in terms of vaccine profile of the work done on that score since the start of the year.

The clever play at the moment for every country, is mitigate, keep an eye on admisdion and capacity in the health service and prepare plan A,B, C. We will be doing well to get to get Xmas as we are, Jan I think will be the time - if there is going to be very restrictive measures when I think we could see them.

Wouldn't be surprised if masks are brought back and people are advised to work from home. Would be surprised if it went further than that but who knows. I'm very pro vaccine passport, that should be brought in for most large events etc.
