The authorities always act too late.

I think this virus is highly likely to already be circulating in the uk and other European countries.

Let’s hope they find a vaccine and quick... I don’t fancy me chances.

Probably because of an incubation period of several days or more, where a infected person ,well, appear well...

As concern grows about the spread of Wuhan Coronavirus, analysis of flight schedules has shown that the Thai capital, Bangkok, is the top international destination for travellers from the central Chinese city.

At least nine people have died in the outbreak of the respiratory virus, with a further 440 cases reported.

Travellers from China have been diagnosed with Wuhan Coronavirus in Japan, South Korea, Thailand and the US.

As Chinese New Year on 25 January approaches, record numbers of travellers are expected in the region.

John Grant of the schedule analysts, OAG, has looked at the number of seats on flights departing from Wuhan in the first three months of 2020. He said: “Nearly 90 per cent of all capacity offered is to other cities in China.

Well, it's been nice knowing you all.

Nothing will actually come of this will it, it’ll be confined to GOT vaults never to be opened again, by the end of next week.

I disagree, and call for the immediate suspension of all gatherings of people for at least four months.

This might result in certain sports having to be suspended and no winner being able to be declared for certain leagues, but it’s a price I think we can all agree society needs to pay.

Tonight and most Sunday afternoons should do it

Straight from the pages of The Lancet!
Apart from the bizarrely casually thrown insults, the rest of what he said is generally backed by reports as to the reasons as to why this has happened again. A WHO spokesman this morning stating that the "current vogue for illegal markets with ill treated wild animals, giving a better taste than farmed meat" is creating a breeding ground for this type of situation.

there’s a massive market in Birmingham and London for illegal meat trade, there’s a colleague of mine who actually had price on his head for trying to expose this in London. I know certain places in Liverpool still sell smokies (whereby the fur and skin is blowtorched off before the carcasses are sold).

A lot of these things are cultural, Ebola is another prime example. The virus is held in certain fruit bats, these are delicacies in certain countries and they’re eaten the virus then attaches itself and next thing you know you have your first death. Open casket whereby mourners touch the body, they contract it and then before you know it....

Ye, bush meat is very much in demand, the scary thing is the apparent trend for meat that comes from animals that are made to suffer intentionally in order to make the meat taste better. A total myth but it is big business in china it seems but such a disgusting thing to do.
