I do not drink, so I have no need for pubs, I only go out for meals for the kids and the wife Birthdays, so that's 6 times a year.

So hospitality opening doesn't honestly bother me, I can do without it.

But surely you realise that there are 00000000s of people who rely on the industry to pay their bills and put food on their families table?

Maybe they added an addendum to their advice: stay 2 metrs apart and wear face coverings...unless you live in Liverpool and we're testing you like lab rats?

The fact of the matter is that most places can do outdoor business. If they cant then they haven't adapted to survive...I'm reliably informed that's the nature of business: they evolve and adapt to the changing conditions...or they go to the wall.

We aren’t lab rats, we are the example that events like this can be run as a success, same as why we were on a lower tier when that system was in place over the winter, because people in this city behaved, stuck to the rules and earnt it

Liverpool's rulers have been a disgrace in this pandemic. An utter disgrace. Bending over for a Tory government becaus it fits in with the requirements of the service economy they have saddled the city with an over-reliance on.

It's shameful. I feel shame, not personally but by extenasion. If Manchester were doing this there'd be stuff said on here, have no doubt about that.

A city dominated by peope pushing the needs of bar, restaurant, hotel and music venue owners.

We've gone from the docks and a branch plant economy to this mess. And it's laid us low to this pandemic big time.
