But you HAVE to adapt is what I'm getting at - you do not have a choice.

I promise you once this is all over and you're back working normally you will have a greater appreciation of your spending as will I and many others.

I am adapting. The gym's shutting now. So next week it'll be just doing what I've done this week minus the gym.

I have been working from home for the past month now anyway. That isn't gonna change whenever I have work.

I've been to London a few weeks back but other than that haven't been on any trips. Will rein in my spending accordingly because I know I don't need to spend on certain things.

This is what’s been puzzling me about italy. They’ve been on lockdown and not going out for what, a week now? The shops are empty, only one at a time being admitted. But the death toll keeps on rising, so there must be another reason. Is it that older family members are often living at home with the family? They don’t stick their old folk in homes like we do. And we don’t seem to ever hear what the ages of the dead are as a percentage. e.g. are they overwhelmingly over 80 say, or 90?

Chinese Red Cross leaders who are in Italy today, were very critical of the Italian authorities and society for their Implementation of “lockdown”.

Yes @BlueToff does like so many others, that's the reality of the situation, but it's much easier said than done and especially if you're not in that situation.

Right now, we need to have a lot more compassion and understanding from everyone - that's not directed personally at you.

Yeh we do and I love @BlueToff he's a great poster but I'd try and argue my viewpoint no matter who posted it. I'm not right, he's not right, we're all just figuring this thing out as it changes every day.

And @Nymzee I appreciate there's much more important things.

People are dying and it's scary. Hopefully these measures - including whatever funding the gov can give - help us prevent as many deaths here.

Got to spare a thought for all thoes who work in the pubs, restaurants and that, basically just been told tonight's your last night, what if there's problems accessing the job retention scheme then a lot will be worrying if their going to get paid in a week or two
