Head of education in the councils(St. Helens, at least) have told us today that grades will be given out on there expected grades if schools are still shut. There is a silver lining though, as it looks like their exams will be being awarded on their " expected " grades.
So, if they`ve been pulling their tripe out, they`ll be okay.
She’s 93 and her husband isn’t far off being a centurion, with an elderly son to boot, so in reality she’s following the guidelines by the government.Glad to see the Royal Family are ready to stand with us and play their part.

One of the early cases in California had dozens of healthcare workers going into isolation because it took a week for the test results to come back so many were exposed and no testing available. Combine those quarantining just in case with those who have symptoms and add in much higher than normal workloads I dread to think what the staffing figures look like![]()

Basically if everybody stayed in lockdown for 14 days then anybody that had the virus would either die or recoverI do understand this . My only struggle with it is that without a vaccine then ,to use a Brexit phrase , aren’t we just kicking the can down the road ? Unless lockdown is for actual months if not years then isn’t there a real danger of it simply starting again once The lockdown is lifted ? Once people go back to work or you open the pubs ? Or is this the new normal , In which case whose producing the things we need for everyday society ? If we were looking at a lockdown and vigorous testing it’d make significantly more sense if I’m honest .
Like I say it’s probably a stupid question and I can see the time can be utilised to become more prepared by producing ventilators or PPE so that does make sense .
