We had a couple of cases and Bam! - close the State, ban interstate travel and contract trace to the nearest person who came within 10 kilometers of them. Every single case nowadys comes from the quarantined overseas travellers.

Our general feeling is that yours and US leaders are too scared of any repercussions from the lowest common denominators in your populace. Our leaders are ‘shut up, stay home and take your medicine until this thing blows over’.

Its why we don’t really care about the vaccine. We beat this thing months ago.

You’ll still need the vaccine eventually.

Hospital figures - 534 deaths were announced today, up 45 on yesterday and down 163 on last Saturday. 436 deaths were in English hospitals, up 29 on yesterday and down 135 on last week. The 7 day rolling average falls to 531.57

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 621 deaths were announced today, down 137 on yesterday and down 207 on last Saturday. The 7 day rolling average falls to an even 688

For the 60 day cut off, 772 deaths were announced today, down 206 on yesterday and down 171 on last Saturday. The 7 day rolling average falls to 840.57

Moderna #2 did me in.

I had a friend that had it with no issues. I do wonder if those that have significant side effects are also ones that would have had more severe disease.

The Pfizer one made me feel ropey for a day the following day but fine thereafter. I have an immunodeficiency though.

Same here, I was grand after round 1, but second dose flattened me, 1 in five of us approx in work were floored - Nausea, headaches, fever, fatiuqe, essentially two days wiped out asleep.

It crossed my mind mate. Someone also told me anecdotally that there is a theory going around that those floored by the vaccine may have been exposed to the virus at some point. One thing for certain, it definitely stimulated the immune response I’d say I’m awash with antibodies. Given that overstimulated immune response can be the same complicating and lethal aspect of COVID it really does make you wonder about the “what if” - of what your individual immune response would have been with COVID.

I can never get over the fact that some people think another's opinion on a football forum is staking a claim to be considered expert in nature and invalidates all others.
