Easter weekend or the week leading up to Easter?
Not sure. Just says Easter.
Knew Boris wouldn't be able to resist the 'Easter resurrection' theme
Easter weekend or the week leading up to Easter?

I'd actually not even looked into what I said back then - I'd accepted what my accusers said about me calling it "a hoax".Try post 845 on page 57. Sorry, don’t know how to do the vaulting thing
It's pure hysteria being generated. The virus is a danger to the extreme elderly and people with chronic underlying health conditions - those people usually at risk from the common flu.
I dont want to suggest it should be treated blithely, but the scale and tone of this reporting is appalling.
Your welcomeWell done.
Is the problem not more that the flu is a known quantity in terms of how it spreads, its mortality rate, pathology, potential to mutate etc, whereas a new strain of virus spreading unchecked which we know/knew very little about is potentially extremely dangerous?
Same could have been said about Sars.
Tbf to @davek there is quite a lot of difference between being ignorant/dismissive of Covid’s impact in Feb 2020 and the same stance in Feb 2021.I refer you to pages 50-100 of this thread. No right to lecture anyone
Yes, this is why stopping the spread is so important.
I will say....A third of known cases. I still think the actual number of infected is much higher than is known or reported. We might never know since there have been asymptomatic infected patients. Which would mean that the severely ill aren't really a third of all infected.
I'm not trying to diminish the seriousness or the potential impact. Quite the opposite. Unlike SARS, I think there's a real chance it becomes endemic.
