Since then you have constructed my personal life into someone who , in your words ',doesn't care for rules', called me an idiot and despite knowing this you continue to argue like you aren't aware of the crossed wires.

To be fair I read his first post as in people having other people round, which being in tier 3 anyway you shouldn't be doing and then not socially distancing on top of that. I think you have just crossed wires with each other as the second post did make it all a bit confusing.

That's the line they want but the horse has bolted, the public aren't going for it.

Protest will start up, gyms etc have been vocal and gaining support, NHS is pushed to the limit and I can't see us clapping in the streets because they turned that into a political plus only for Cummings to make a mockery of it.

Businesses are doomed and jobs gone if not going. North/South division is becoming increasingly more awake to the complete lack of empathy towards workers and children.

It's a utter utter sham and how no one has been fired or resigned is more laughable. They are crooks and liars but if hire clowns you get the circus.

Where all of a sudden the childish insults start, the don't care for the rules part. In fact after that post from toff I've , for some reason had to defend myself the minute you start throwing these posts up about me.

the daily figures are doubling roughly every 9 days. by CHRISTMAS DAY that means it goes from c25k daily cases to c1.5m daily cases.

if everyone in the country gets it once that’s 900k deaths.

how are people not understanding what this all means? why aren’t people grasping how serious this is. If it was March, fair enough. But it’s October.

You been speaking to Whitty? Just to point out that the number of new cases is the number discovered -- given the ever increasing numbers being tested and the more targeted approach to the testing effort, then the number of new positive cases could increase even if total numbers with the virus in the population were falling (not that I'm even suggesting this is the case). In other words, the increases you refer to should not be taken as reflecting the actual rate of spread.

In simple terms: they're either not capable or bothered enough to listen to the data or they're happy to ignore said figures because of their own whims and desires.

It's like the much discussed only 1%. Well 1% of 70,000,000 is 700,000 and that's if everyone only got it once and the virus population did not grow.

Think it is referring to the estimated infection fatality ratio in developed countries of around 1%

Depends what test you are referring to, there are two types of tests. The viral test determines whether you have an active infection, the antibody test tells you if you have had a past infection.

My mum had it a few months ago and tested negative when having a test before having surgery the other day.

Needn't have been this way if the murderers had done the lockdown in September for a month and had a test and trace system worthy of the name.

....and after September the virus would have disappeared or if it hadn't would suddenly stop looking for more bodies to invade? Really?
The sooner we all realise that all that lockdowns and restrictions do is stretch the period over which any given level of infections will occur the better. Johnson seemed to have grasped this intially, hence his talk of the prime objective of the Spring lockdown only being to even out the numbers seeking hospital services over time. Quietly though this objective was replaced by an objective to 'defeat' the virus, impossible though that is. That is what has got us into this complete disastrous mess.

I understand that the main virus test will pick up fragments of dead virus form old infections. Wasn't it being suggested a month or so ago (by the Oxford University team) that tests should have a cut off point below which the virus reading would not lead to a case being classed as positive? Don't think this was taken up.
