The same reporter tweeted this this afternoon

Now, I'm a country bumpkin, so anywhere with more than ten people looks busy to me, but looking at the background in his video it doesn't look rammed by city standards.

I'd be rather tempted to file Inzy under F for Fuckwit.

Hes standing outside the only shop in the city were you can buy Halloween outfits on Halloween. There's a bit of a queue obviously. The media in this country love this. They'll be out trying to take photographs of city centre roads using strange angles again soon to make it look busier.

It’s brilliant isn’t it. I’m in an area where almost no one has this, and have a pub that has every Covid advocated measure in place, but now have to close and once again pour away the beer...but the cities are rife with this so nevermind ....does anyone want a few barrels of really good beer.....

In simple terms: they're either not capable or bothered enough to listen to the data or they're happy to ignore said figures because of their own whims and desires.

It's like the much discussed only 1%. Well 1% of 70,000,000 is 700,000 and that's if everyone only got it once and the virus population did not grow.
Think about what 700k deaths would do with 3 months (because that’s the timescale if we allowed that).

think about what would happen to the nhs at that level in that timescale.

Actually, forget this, this time I’m going to ensure the villagers get some free beer...

Those heady days of the summer when Jeremy Hunt (owner of a huge office space in London) was urging people to get themselves back into work seem a very long time ago.

I can't believe they're keeping the schools open. Give it a couple of weeks and I'm sure we'll have a u-turn on that.

Has there ever been a worldwide quantitative easing?

Seeing as money is basically a construct and not real - can't we just all agree to print a load more until we get somewhere back to normal

We're all in the same boat - seems ludicrous to ruin the world over numbers on a screen

No chance, this is all about Christmas.

Open up, things will go bad again and then unfortunately another lockdown.

I don't think they'll be in a position to open in December, I suspect the numbers will be worse then than now. 4 weeks isn't long enough, there'll still be way too much in the community, the incubation is generally 2-3 weeks, that leaves a week for the numbers to start dropping.

Should just reset all countries debt to 0 then get going again, like you said its not actually real anyway

That’s what happened?

They know that people won’t accept it over Christmas, hence the Dads Army pantomime today.

That's why they haven't announced it today, we started of at 6 weeks. Ended up being 3.5 Months they knew full well at the time 6 weeks wasn't enough, and that was with a peak of 725 cases
