We've seen through Brexit that the powers that be in this country care more for filling their wallets and protecting their wealthy friends than the well being of the public.

I imagine things are going to get very nasty once businesses start short term closing and not paying their staff. You know who this government will back...

FFS.

Yeah, because large scale events will just carry on without support of emergency services won’t they?!

Have a think before you post your naive, blinkered nonsense.

The government isn’t overtly banning anything, but they are creating the conditions for events to be cancelled, which is a perfectly grown up and pragmatic thing to do.

If Corbyn were in power, everything would be banned and we’d be told to be in bed by 7:30pm like good little children.

That's why "we advise" and "we ban" are a very important distinction when it comes to governmental direction here.

They'll only be covered if they have Denial of Access cover, which isn't standard.

Honestly think Corbyn would do a better job right now
You’d imagine it would be more his forte wouldn’t you. No point dwelling on it too much now I guess.
As a side issue, this whole thing will be used by the likes of Johnson as an excuse if the economy tanks because of brexit. They’ve got a nice get out of jail card.

very important .

It’s also important how the public view the word avoid , will they take it as “I fancy a pint so I’m having one“ but only once this week or treat it as a de facto ban
