My office was half full today, a good few people with the sniffles and tissues in their hands. A girl I work with was really stupid. Earlier on, she said that she wants someone that has the virus to sneeze in her face so that she can 'get it over with'.

Then someone that was working from home called her mobile in order to talk to me as they didn't have my office number. She passed over her minging mobile to me with her right hand, whilst she had a minging snot rag in her left hand. I came close to refusing but I talk the call anyway. She has really done my head in!

There are so many people that are still not taking this seriously. I will be working from home soon. From Wednesday, as I've got to go in tomorrow.

So if anyone has a cough or illness then the government advises we self isolate at home

Everyone bar me in the house is ill right now, 2 coughs and whatever else the wife has , not quite the flu but not a cold either.

So I have to stay at home , yet I know they don't have the virus for a fact . I know if I did ring in then if the day came I actually had to self isolate because of the virus then I would trigger the sickness policy in work for being off twice.

People will go to work even if they are unwell. Virus or no virus , they will still go into work because on the whole, we are a nation that punishes being sick. That's going to cause issues long term, no matter how much you say in London.

Your local cafe, bar, pub and restaurant will probably have insurance against loss of earnings if they're forced to close, which would help cover coronavirus.

Yet, the government aren't saying that bars etc. should close, but rather recommending that people simply keep away thus the onus is on the owners to decide.

They won't necessarily be covered for an interruption by the virus directly, but they will be covered for an interruption in trading due to the actions of the government.

That's why "we advise" and "we ban" are a very important distinction when it comes to governmental direction here.

Same situation as me this. Kids have a little cough and had it for weeks. They young and this happens this time every year. No other symptoms. So now I’ll have to tell boss I can’t work now for two weeks. Sod this can’t be arsed. All becoming a nonsense.
