You should approach your boss about shift working if you can't work from home.

Split your workforce into 2 groups.

Week 1
Group 1 self isolate at home Sat-Sun (9 days)
Group 2 work from office Mon-Fri


Week 2
Group 2 self-isolate at home Sat-Sun (9 days)
Group 1 work from office Mon-Fri

And so on...The self isolation periods should protect the groups and reduce the spread of the virus whilst maintaining office staffing

English people can be some of the best people in the world. When I return to the UK for holidays I am constantly reminded what a friendly/kind nation we are. But we do have a minority that is... well pretty much summed up perfectly by that video.
Kinda the same with racism. Whereas in the UK people are generally not racist (especially not as much as other nations I could mention) the racists we do have, are as bad, and thickheaded as you could hope to meet. A toxic combination of extreme pride, and narcissism with absolute crud for brains.

I pretty much agree with your second bit, but, we're almost certainly follow this up with an actual ban, so, overall, the difference is going to be minor. France started off by "advising" and very soon went to "bans", I'm sure we'll be doing the same. It is nuts not to go straight to a ban though.

Cheers. We are well ahead on this. Every staff member is registered for remote access and we will control allocation of licences according to priority demands at any time. They can be moved around as required. We are already allowing parents special leave with pay where they have young ones to mind due to school closures (Ireland).

We are also considering week in week out for staff that can attend but tbh I expect complete closure of the office building after tomorrow's St Patrick's Day holiday.

It wil be a decision informed by the CMO, Taoiseach (PM), and of course if we have any confirmed cases in the building. So far we are clear but realistic that this is likely to change- nearly 300 staff at full complement.
