Keep fighting the good fight Dave.

Dont let these buggers rest, maybe at some point the penny will drop.

I'm not sure those that can actually make decisions tend to consult Dave on GOT before they do so, which just leaves him moaning at people whose only real control is over themselves and their lives, and who are quite probably doing the right things and being careful anyway. I just wish he'd let us rest.

Trouble is Dave, you lost what credibility you had early on in this.
Did I? I changed my position as soon as the facts changed...then I was calling for the lockdown..at which point when you were telling me it was "an over reaction" to call for it.

Physician heal thyself etc etc.

No. You took your stance without any facts what so ever. Made yourself look like a raving loon, and ergo, your hysterical posts about murderers and scum kinda look daft.

Interesting to see where I called a lockdown an "over reaction", as I have been in one since Feb 15th.

One thing regarding the "is it all over" angle, Witty et al were quite clear at the outset of this that any lockdowns have a shelf life, and this shelf life isn't really due to the virus being defeated so much as people having a limit to what they can mentally and financially take. This release of the lockdown seems as much a case of letting people let off some steam while also testing how effective mitigation measures are when the economy is re-opened a bit.
I’ve been talking about this a lot this week. Markets are pricing in a fairly stable recovery and you have to wonder whether there is considerable to that case.

A second wave my cause a correction due to tightening of rules again but the propensity for people to go back into lockdown has to be low and so politically more challenging.

Difficult to call the direction of travel really.

My best guess would be a correction on the increase in cases once it kicks off again. But not to the extent of March. Lockdown measures aren’t as draconian. Most people just get on with it. Economic activity isn’t stifled too much. If it is then that’s a bigger problem as how much is left in the tank now the furlough scheme etc is ending? So they won’t lockdown like they did.

Tradesmen have been swarming around my local, bought recently by some locals to keep it local just before Christmas, @peteblue for weeks. Most delivery drivers, well tons, are "self employed" and they have been coining it in.

Now the small shops are opening, hopefully some traction for them can start.
Cash in hand mate? Great thanks...receipt? Nahh dont do those....my "accountant" has all the 'details". lol

I genuinely don't see how going to a beach that crowded would be enjoyable with or without a pandemic. Looks theres hardly any room
I went to a popular local beach yesterday, with life guard and all, and you could very easily socially distance by 20m never mind 2m. Neither were there any BBQ s. or beer crates on show

Luckily we are over 200 miles away
from London and Birmingham
