Self employed have to wait till August for a second payment. The first was what, April?

That said, quite a number of SE have managed to do some work for actual money. But plenty havnt.

Lots of places will be opening up early July mate, if they didn't mid-June, so I can see a situation where two or three million people start to come off furlough in July.

Most tradesmen round us seem to be preparing to restart work ( if they already havn't ). With support starting to wind down as of 1st August, things'll start to accelerate then, and I reckon it'll be tougher for the Self Employed to show their business is still being adversely affected this time round.

Pathetic response.

You're bored / irritated by someone pointing out the continuing mass death and now try and push the spotlight on me - someone who has been advocating non-compliance with measures that weaken the collective effort to defeat Covid19.

You need to hang your head in shame.

I'm sure they'll build a statue of you somewhere Dave to commemorate the heroism you've showed in this thread in saving so many lives.

Tradesmen have been swarming around my local, bought recently by some locals to keep it local just before Christmas, @peteblue for weeks. Most delivery drivers, well tons, are "self employed" and they have been coining it in.

Now the small shops are opening, hopefully some traction for them can start.

No, quite right. I dont save lives on here. Then again, I dont mock the taking of them either.

Have a go, you might find that more rewarding than being glib about another couple of hundred lives being taken.

The builders returned to continue their 9 month odyssey on our street a few weeks ago. They had a fright when they'd stripped the roof of a French neighbour (think mad cat lady but more drunk) who ran out and told them to f-off, that no one had told her they were doing her roof. So she now has a roof with no tiles. Thankfully it meant I only had to put up with their Danny Dyer style bantz for a few hours.

Jesus Dave, how do you keep posting in this thread?

300 people have died in the last 2 days and everybody in here is just casually brushing it off.

Im utterly speechless at how much these tories have worked their way not only into peoples thoughts, but their feelings.

The Tory virus, no cure.

It's disheartening when you read some of the last posts I've had to deal with. Grown men "'avin a laff" about loss of life on this scale.

More glibness. FFS, just reflect on what you just said in jest about people who lost their lives.

What is an appropriate response Dave? 150,000 people die every single day around the world. The latest stats suggest 10,000 people die per week in the UK. Should we show visible grief for them all? Only the British deaths? Only those who may have died from Covid? Did you show similar levels of grief to all the people that died in June last year?

Bruce, stop and reflect on what you're posting here. Whataboutery on this subject is beyond the pale. Leave it.
