That isn't the NHS saying that BAME people are more susceptible. That is the whole point of shielding vulnerable individuals. If the BAME population had a genetic susceptibility then we should have been shielded. There is absolutely no evidence for that.

It is the NHS saying it.

The reason shielding wasn't in place is cos its a fairly recent finding.

But if the NHS isnt a good source, pick another.

This paper concludes that face masks actually supersede social distancing policy as a mitigator. Essential to prevent a pandemic for aerosol-based transmission like COVID19. Facemasks therefore critical to prevent surges.

I think you’re misunderstanding. Having a higher rate of infection/mortality doesn’t automatically mean more susceptible. For example, these statistics are being taken nationwide, and nationwide there is a far lower average of minority people than in dense population centres like London. The difference in percentage of population could well be five or ten fold comparing say Cornwall and London.

Yes there are more people of minority backgrounds who are getting/dying relative to percentage of population. But no that doesn’t mean they are more susceptible. Living in a densly populated area means you’re more susceptible.

I’m bored of this, can we go back to slagging off the mutants from across the park now please?

Yes, susceptible was the wrong word.

The link I used said " disproportionate mortality and morbidity ".

Here’s some data from a German paper on masks and preventing the spread in country’s that have introduced masks regulation and those that didn’t. Black straight line indicates the growth in the number of cases after the introduction of masks as a regulation on April the 6th. Black broken line indicates growth rate amongst countries that didn’t.

Why do you think a Tory government is seeking to cover this up. It isn't about race it is about deprivation. The reason BAME people are dying at a higher rate is because of deprivation. Forget COVID-19 BAME people were dying at a higher rate before the pandemic.

Independent reports have shown that Tory austerity has killed 130,000 people. We ignore that and focus on a once in a lifetime pandemic.

Trends in Ireland currently some stark reading on the trajectory of the virus, 8% of all men diagnosed died, 6% women, 95% of RIP’s never were admitted to ICU.

Biggest risk at the moment is picking up the virus at home.

Nobody ignores the fact that the Tory rats are killing people.

You know the way we in the west always stated in the past that certain countries / cultures in Africa/Asia dont place a lot of value on human life? Well, that applies to the UK now. The absolute scorn for face mask wearing in this country underlines that there is no ability to empathise with the plight of others, a key feature in societies that have sunk into semi-barbarism.

That's where we are as a country. Johnson's UK Banana Republic.
