My partner has just had her antibody test come back negative. She’s been working on wards with Covid patients in one of the worst affected areas (Hertfordshire).

Leads me to believe a lot of the theories that the disease has spread to lots of people without them realising or that earlier illnesses may have been Covid is probably not the case at all, and that the vast majority still really haven’t had it.

I agree totally.

By the way how did she get the antibody test?

My daughter tried and said it wasnt available, but shes quite useless at these things.

From what I’ve read the results from overseas though indicate quite a few being asymptomatic. No idea if that right or if there is anything backing it up .

i’ve said before I know a few people who’ve had it , from covid test and antibody testing , and the one solid consistent seems to be the smell/taste . It’s run throughout the vast majority of people who’ve had it , quite a few people I know were convinced they had it early in the year with flu symptoms and their antibody tests have come back negative .

My missus has a mate ( nurse ) who was totally floored by something in January, that put her in bed for the week and she was convinced she`d had it.

She had the antibody test this week and came back negative.

She was gutted lol

exactly the same with a few people I know , all certain it was covid . Not been a positive test for one of them.

Obviously that was a bad dose of flu going around at the time .

She`s a Lincolnshire girl, she doesn`t do " illness ", as it`s for " bloody malingerers " lol

I looked up malingerer in the dictionary and it had a helpful image

She got it last week with some of her colleagues. Seems pretty random selection though as some office staff and nurses not working with any Covid patients had actually been tested weeks agoo_O
