Surely they need to open the barbers 1st though? How can you show your face for a pint with hair like tarzan?
Got a txt from my barber yesterday, saying he was open from the 4th July.
Appointment only, in and out, no customers waiting in the shop.

Breweries have been given that notice to start brewing apparently

What I’m hearing too.
It only takes a few days to brew up keg fizz, it’s real ale that needs a few weeks.

where have you heard that from mate ? as of talking to people yesterday at local breweries they knew nothing officially
So what you're saying is avoid pubs for the first couple of weeks after reopening as you're basically going to get served dog pissWhat I’m hearing too.

my local pub. Been told by Thwaites that they are opening 4th July, and the Gov have told them that
Honestly ? Ok well that’s really interesting I’d be very interested to see if @peteblue brewery has told him that . There is lots and lots of talk of that date including the spoons bloke saying ages ago he’ll be opening but to my knowledge nothing official.
Mines a Turkish one who is a walk in and wait type - God knows whats going to happen![]()
Pub I’m staying at in the Lakes second week in July, have their own micro brewery at the back and they’ve said they’ll be ready to go.
Maybe they’re just taking a calculated risk ?
The Government announced at the end of May the 'ready for restart'I think that’s a strong rumour but there doesn’t seem to be any official word anywhere
...and despite all the BS atm about 'we cant go back to austerity measures in the wake of this' being banmdied about by the Tories, they will revisit it (or, rather, continue itr, because it never went away).I think it will happen if and when job losses start to mount up and we see a significant number of companies going to the wall. The government have put themselves in a situation where any significant economic down-turn - which seems pretty inevitable - will get the general population turning against and threatening them, despite their majority. Brexit to come as well. It's going to be a tough old winter by the look of it.
Round 2 ding-ding
