My ma is a primary school teacher and she said they’ve had hardly anyone in this or last week.

she had a webinar last week with lancs schools. They have come up with this plan:

Yr 7 back in sept
Yr 11 at xmas
yr 9 & 10 easter
yr 8 next september.

Whether thats allowed, or just a plan I don't know. Seems ridiculous to me

If this is for social distancing then there’s a better way to do it than deprive kids of their most important years of they’re lives socially and educationally.
Home schooling is not the way imo.

In those briefings when they started to float the idea of kids going back they tried suggesting that schools are not actually petri dishes. They really are foolish this Government, they just cannot help elasticating truths. Not watched those briefing for some weeks now truly awful propaganda.

They’ll have to stagger school years back somehow as most schools won’t have the room to have everyone split out whilst social distancing is still a thing.

Mum said it took an hour just to get the kids in the school in the morning because of how they have to line up with parents outside and how they’re brought into each classroom.

I just think its unbelievably silly that schools, shops, zoos and safari parks are being allowed to open when gyms aren't. Surely by now exercising properly has to be allowed. It's not as if the old and frail or obese and ill are likely to be troubling the free weights or kettle bells like. It's been 3 months now, time to live again.

I think it might be better maybe like you say stagger it, I would say maybe years 7/8/9 with reduced classroom capacity for a week whilst years 10/11 have home schooling then reverse it the week later years 10/11 in school and years 7/8/9 at home. A knock on affect of this though is childcare as a lot of parents need their kids in school to be able to work.

the plans I’ve heard are going to leave a whole generation bereft of a proper education with poor grades likely and limited prospects.

it’s either safe to go to school or it’s not... all this half way house stuff is nonsense.

if it’s not safe then cancel school completely so everyone goes back a year and starts again. In the meantime those kids old enough can do community service or work experience.

surely tens of thousands of more deaths are worth it to those you feel they are immune. It will also ease the burden of social care as it kills off the weakest in society.

personally I can’t wait to get back to my favourite restaurants and sports massage parlours.

It should be. Depriving people of their regular means of exercise is stupid and ultimately unhealthy.

Fit and healthy people have had enough of being locked up. That's why they were all out protesting and have been setting up secret raves. Enough of this bs. Let's live.

With all due respect mate, I don't think you have any idea what you're talking about, or have done since the start of this whole thing. Fit and healthy people are more than capable of exercising at home and, anecdotally, I don't think I have ever seen as many joggers and walkers out in my area than I have during this pandemic.

You seem to have taken one angle on this from the very start and kept to it, despite the reality of it evolving over the course of March. Let's follow your train of thought.

1. Not reading any facts

I havent heard or seen any facts that justify this mania.

2. Only 20 deaths, madness....

20 people have died and the country has gone into shutdown. This nonsense is preposterous.

3. Only 1000 deaths. Well at least they're old

Yes about a 1000 old and sick people have died. None of this makes any sense to me.

There have been 4000 deaths. I bet more people have died of 'regular' flu in the same period of time.

Old and sick people die of flu and infections all the time yet nothing as ludicrous as this goes on in attempts to save them. I really don't get this mayhem at all.

Now, we're at a point where it is estimated that over 60,000 people have died from this thing in the UK, and well over a 100,000 in the US. That was with lockdown measures for 3 months. I just want to ask you one question:

Is there any chance, even slim, that you are utterly clueless about the nature and character of a global pandemic and how to curb it, and that all of your arguments are just based on you wanting everything to be the same again?
