Exactly the same with ours, we do the flu vaccine and as you say, it's still a learning curve.
Our full time H&S officer is fairly diligent and on the ball
However just this week 2 new measures
In the canteen we used to have cutlery trays for knifes forks etc.
Now each item is individually wrapped in tissue and put on a tray
Tables can only accommodate 2 (one at each end ) are getting 3 ft plastic screens put in the middle
Those tables pre covid accomodated 6
We are wearing masks the last 2 weeks
Its constantly evolving and the costs are huge but necessary.
Luckily we are highly profitable
When I started (1982) we had 1200 employees now 350
I don't know how we would have coped back then if this had hit

I agree with outdoors.

My concern (particularly in London where I live) is the use of public transport and people having to work indoors.
I'd make anybody using public transport forced to wear a mask and carry hand sanitizer, without them you don't get on the bus/train, signs up sanitize your hands before you get on and depart.

They have to dramatically reduce capacity as well to try distance people, don't know if that is going on, I saw footage on the news from Kings Cross and it was quite busy.

You are posting some garbage this morning.

Part of a teacher's role is safeguarding children. Exposing them to a virus because they can't be adequately protected does not fall in line with that remit.

Aside from that, nobody should have their health put at risk to do their job, you're essentially telling teachers to put their lives on the line so kids can learn their ABCs.

I don't know the answer, so this is a purely open question. We've had a lockdown for however long now, but have known that at some point it will end and (from a schools perspective) children will return. Schools have also had a situation whereby many seem to have retained a (reduced) service for children of key workers, during which they could perhaps have experimented with approaches on this smaller student body that could then be expanded when schools open more fully.

Has that sort of thing been going on?

He's not even saying that, he couldn't give a flying about the education, it's just to get someone else to take responsibility for the children.

Reducing capacity makes the problem worse.

Having less tubes and buses running does not discourage people from trying to get to work and feed their families.

They should be mandating that masks are worn upon entry to stations and they should have as many trains and buses running as possible.

If there is a strike or protest you can guarantee the teachers are right at the front of it.

Kids, especially those from the poorest backgrounds, need to get back to school.

Teachers... do what you are paid to do or go and get another job.
Tell me why they call the toddlers back who won't have a scooby do about social distancing?for one month?
It's just a baby sitting service so the adults can be forced back to work - why is this not a problem in the other 3 parts of the UK ?
Deaths are still over 400 per day - the virus has not subsided to a safe extent to be safe imo to end the lock down - maybe certain sectors may have been ordinary planned back to work this in the U.K. Is organised chaos imo....
