Whatever your thoughts or opinions on the end of lockdown all of the UK should be singing from the same hymn sheet.

If Scotland and Wales want to play silly buggers I would threaten to restrict their funding if I were Boris.
That would see them fall into line quite quickly.
If there is a strike or protest you can guarantee the teachers are right at the front of it.

Kids, especially those from the poorest backgrounds, need to get back to school.

Teachers... do what you are paid to do or go and get another job.
The Uk government call the shots, let’s not pretend otherwise.

If the home nations don’t fall into line fairly quickly I think they’ll find some pain coming their way.
I bet you throw patio furniture when following England games.

My wife is in a private school and class size is 22 max with some classes 9-10 pupils
They are struggling to do social distancing when schools re open
Either double the number of teachers ,which means bigger school buildings or a mix of home learning online and class lessons with pupils doing 2 or 3 days at home every week

That day on, day off suggestion, or a variation, could work well tbf........edit...although it would cause chaos for working parents....back to the drawing board.....

The welsh people are still in lockdown, they have no problem with English people in general, only the thick selfish bellends who think our country is their playground. I live here and guess what ?? I can’t visit any of the places I’d like to go. So no, it isn’t bordering on racism at all, it’s self protection.
It’s like somebody said, we are fighting two diseases here, Covid and stupidity.
I like the infighting it's causing...

Not doubting you at all fella, just giving you a possible explanation as to why. That many fans coming in from Madrid, a hotspot area as it was and amazingly the previous two weeks all Spanish clubs were playing their games...behind closed doors. Never mind I suppose liverpool fc made a tidy profit that night...
They refused to reimburse Athletico fans who refused to travel

The death rate is falling, as is the infection rate, I have no problem with people now being allowed out as much as they want.

The key is to keep your distance, and can people be trusted to do that, I think if the Govt said you could meet more than one other person then there is the risk and temptation that people will start to mingle and gather in groups.

I think the slight relaxing the Govt in England has done is just about spot on for me, I'd like to see them drilling home the keep your distance thing though.

I think the rotation thing is a good idea tbh. I’m in two minds about it because I still think it’s too early and part of me would rather they just sack it off til September but, having a 6 year old, it’s so important to be around peers, and in a classroom setting and being taught by a professional rather than two slightly frazzled and stressed parents.

There are different lockdown rules in place that should be respected.

However, Wales is also part of our country. It isn't just "yours", that language isn't helpful.

Nice of you to not have an issue with English people in general.

We will only know in June if the measures in place to ease the lockdown are spot on.

Currently, none of us have any idea how much the rate of infection is increasing.

You are posting some garbage this morning.

Part of a teacher's role is safeguarding children. Exposing them to a virus because they can't be adequately protected does not fall in line with that remit.

Aside from that, nobody should have their health put at risk to do their job, you're essentially telling teachers to put their lives on the line so kids can learn their ABCs.
