Hurrah for Greece! Poor but happy!

"Still resilient after taking tough and early action, Greece can now look forward to a summer tourist season beginning in July", Guardian.

When all the Covid ridden Brits, Italians, Spanish and Chinese can visit and leave a little present.....where do the Guardian believe these holidaymakers are coming from......

we’re all going to die because we had the wrong slogan.......ffs......
The UK has demonstrated fairly well the power of a meaningless slogan...get it right and it lets people believe they are entitled to act entirely as they desire and believe in their own exceptionalism, get it wrong and it lets people believe they are entitled act entirely as they desire and believe in their own exceptionalism.

The idea that we need a slogan annoys me in itself. We dont need a slogan. Anyone obsessing with a slogan needs to calm down.

We need the government to give detail and stop being vague. Last thing we need are 3 word soundbites that maybe sound nice, but can be interpreted whatever way people like.

People seemed to love the stay at home slogan even though they went outside multiple times a day. I dont get it.

It’s a balls up mate... here in wales the restrictions we’ve had are still in place for 3 weeks yet if you live on the Wirral you can now drive here for your exercise if that’s what you want to do ? It’s not a coherent message from the prime minister at all.... he has only spoken with London in mind ... it’s reckless
Just an add to this ..... a Tory mp from Shrewsbury is kicking off that his constituents can’t visit their favourite beaches in wales and has called for the welsh government to be disbanded.... that’s your tory government guys

Hopefully people get the message that the laws in Wales are different and not allowed to travel over the border. Wales have got it right imo

I’m sure his doctor would have preferred to give him a test but he can’t walk to a testing place, you don’t want him using public transport and even a taxi isn’t fair to the driver(s).

So either a) someone comes to his home to do the test b) someone in ppe drives him to a testing place and back or c) wait and see if he gets sick enough to require an ambulance and hospital admin where they will presumably do a test. I can see why in a stretched situation they have gone with c but it is very, very from ideal.
Localised testing is needed urgently. I'd have thought it would be a prerequisite of any effective TTI system anyhow.

And so will a lot of working class.

Working class does not = construction worker. It doesn't even = 'low skilled' (for lack of a better term!) jobs.

I'm working class. I can - when I do work - work from home.

My friends are all working class. Pretty much all of them - that haven't been furloughed - are working from home.

The project manager at the company where I used to work is definitely middle class. I know that he will have been on-site and has been for the last two weeks because that's when they went back to work (albeit following social distancing rules).

I said the majority of the wealthy and middle class will be working from home.

I didn’t say that the majority of people working from home will be middle class.

Please learn to read and comprehend.

Employers will not be allowed to get away with forcing people to go to work.
Hey Boris you've been spending too much time with that Corbyn chappie.
