What is notice tennis and plus golf? :p
Snobby sport , Boris plays tennis......Golf used to be an elite sport - still is if you play at posh courses per annum....
Angling though is the most popular sport in the UK......ever played any of these or patipated in these spots?
I played golf in my youth on a municipal course, and did some sea fishing spinning off the rocks.....never played Tennis ...

Strongly disagree.

Spent most of my weekend on the phone to my elderly uncle who has all the symptoms of coronavirus and because of age/co-morbities is understandably concerned. A quick test that came back negative would have greatly reduced a huge amount of unnecessary, and frankly dangerous, stress for him.
I may be wrong but I think GOT took it as read that anybody showing symptoms would automatically be getting tested now we have the capacity there. Apart from that, the only other people who should be routinely regularly tested are those health workers who are actively coming into contact with CV19 patients, and all care workers in homes and in the community. Unless you can think of anybody else LL.

As regards your uncle, is he in a care home or at home. If the latter does he have carers. ?

Really easy Joey.

Most tee areas are big and wide and would easily accommodate social distancing.

I’m surprised it’s taken them so long to takes the brakes off Golf tbh, as it’s probably one of the safest mass participation sports going as far as social distancing is concerned.

Plus it’ll chase all the sunbathing teenagers off the course by me at the same time ;)
Allerton used to have nice municipal golf courses....under the new rules you will be like Marty Feldman putting as you are not allowed to take the flag out.... lol
Requiring that players leave the flagstick in the hole at all times. It is a matter for the Committee to decide whether it establishes this policy by way of a Code of Conduct or Local Rule, and whether it provides a penalty under the Code of Conduct or for a breach of the Local Rule.

Thats easy to do.
How about if 6 or 8 players go out? playing a round Robin plus the flag has to stay in the hole...... lol

He is at home alone with no carers apart from some very nice neighbors who are doing shopping for him now he is quarantined.

And no, no arrangements for him getting a test from either his regular doctor or 111...despite the fact they are treating him as having covid since he had a fever, lowish oxygen stats and now a dry cough.

Thankfully he seems much better today, and it could all have just been a flu bug, but if he isn’t being offered a test despite being in a high risk group with symptoms I’m a tad skeptical at how available they are, at least to those without their own car.

I am not filled with any confidence whatsoever after this; I don't think they've actually answered a single question that's been asked.
Johnson at 7pm on a Sunday evening told the nation that ( confusing message ) anyone who can not work from home can go back to work from Monday .

Today we learn that goverment guidlines for this are not due untill Wednesday. And businesses still are waiting for Government guidelines!

They have had seven odd weeks to get this bit right and fall at the very first hurdle of the exit.

I've got to say that's scandalous. There are lots of stories coming out now about people who have been ill for weeks and have not either been admitted to hospital or been sent for a test. People are doing YouTube videos on it. When all this settles we're going to get some fallout.

This virus hasn't been handled very well at grass roots level either.

It’s a much better course now since it’s been run by a private company. Plans to build a hotel at the club house going through.

I’m sure his doctor would have preferred to give him a test but he can’t walk to a testing place, you don’t want him using public transport and even a taxi isn’t fair to the driver(s).

So either a) someone comes to his home to do the test b) someone in ppe drives him to a testing place and back or c) wait and see if he gets sick enough to require an ambulance and hospital admin where they will presumably do a test. I can see why in a stretched situation they have gone with c but it is very, very from ideal.

Easily the worst sport. Tied with Rugby League.
