I normally go to a different office to the usual on Friday's. Manager in said office is off sick, didn't even bat an eye-lid to it normally but now I'm thinking should I even go in that office.

Worth noting Italy are on full on lockdown. The same country that totally failed to deal with the virus to begin with. I’m not sure we should be copying them.

They did come out and say that they failed because they didn't deal with the situation early enough.

I think part of the thinking behind closing all the schools is that you also take a large % of parents out of daily circulation.

I presume Digne's medical expertise is top notch if he feels confident enough to contradict the advice given to the PM by the UK's top medical personnel.

You don't have to rely on Lucas Digne to find people that are critical of our governments response, there are plenty of very qualified people that are being critical.

Seeing a lot of people on twitter demanding that schools be closed.

How can that be achieved if the peak is indeed 10-14 weeks away (on the current predictions).

It's just not sustainable.

And I'm sorry, no government (Labour or Tory or blooming Green) would be able to do it.

I wouldn't. Again you might be fine but you could carry something that could be fatal to someone else.

As a result of this hourly fretting, has anyone here changed their behaviour significantly over the past two weeks?

Hubby now working largely from home as are a lot of tech workers in Bay Area. Our home office where he is holding teleconference calls is in an open space in the middle of the house.

Our cats think it is great fun so the below is happening on a fairly frequent basis with the cats playing the kids and me trying to avoid the camera

And some of the panic buying I saw out on my lunch break was really quite ridiculous.

People stocking up ridiculous amounts of items which are essential to others.

Complete lack of respect and utterly selfish behaviour.

I'd rather trust the advice of the CMO and his team than others.
