In France, the old who Macron said he wants them to stay in isolation until cure happens, no matter how long, have came out and told him after May 11th they ll go out like everyone else or otherwise he can arrest them and can expect millions of ageism claims and violation of french laws against the elderly ;-) The other high risk categories have said the same ;-)

Is anyone else experiencing opportunism for their employers at the moment ??
Like most I've been furloughed - but received a letter yesterday from work with a request to sign away your contract rights in relation to lay offs in the future all cunningly woven into what they would have you believe is standard furlough protocol etc...etc.

It's traditional at Greek Easter to have a BBQ (roast lamb etc) on Easter Sunday. We are not allowed to even have a BBQ on our own property.Everything must be cooked in the oven and eaten inside.I understand why though, stops social gatherings etc.

You have no idea about what you are talking about, that is all I have to say to you laddy.
lol lol lol
Says the manchild that thinks this is all a conspiracy, because it’s far more palatable than believing the natural world can create some truly horrific things when it feels free.

You know who else studies Coronaviruses? A foundation setup by Bill Gates, who is American. You know who else is American? Kobe Bryant. Bit suspicious that his helicopter crashed wasn’t it? So clearly he was killed because he knew too much about this, then the Americans blame China so they can start an even bigger trade war.

That, takes a very basic fact and runs with it, like you have.

The professor also said, "Bat coronaviruses are collected and studied by laboratories in multiple parts of China — including Wuhan Municipal CDC and Wuhan Institute of Virology,” and “the first human infection also could have occurred as a laboratory accident, with a virus accidentally infecting a laboratory worker.”
Ebright further noted: “There also is clear precedent for this: The second, third, fourth, and fifth entries of the SARS virus into human populations occurred as a laboratory accident in Singapore in 2003, a laboratory accident in Taipei in 2003, and two separate laboratory accidents in Beijing in 2004.”

I`m chomping at the bit to get back in the pub Pete, but for the life of me I can`t see how they`re going to allow the wet pubs to open until there`s a vacine.

My local is tiny, fifty people in there and it`s properly packed.

At least 60% of the customers are over 60, so slap bang in the high risk group.

What do they do, ban the over 60`s and people in the high risk groups - obese, diabetic etc ?

They`d have about six customers !!
But what a thirst those 6 would have
I would normally have a gallon on a Sat night
I am going for the full dozen the first night I go back lol
Which will be a midweek night a few days after they open

lol lol lol

There are lot of data in the US regarding males being less likely to to seek medical attention in general so does make me wonder if the numbers are higher for females for confirmed cases due to males not getting themselves tested at the same rate as females at least until they get very ill.
That’s quite possible.

Thanks, if you happen to come across it when it is out I’d be grateful for a link to it.

Most manufacturing companies aren't able to socially distance people, are they going to stay shut too? No chance. Pubs will open, and people will have to practice hygiene better.

We can't hide away until a vaccine is found.
Our company never thought we could but somehow managed it
Opened extra canteens
Enforced split break times
You clock in but dont have to clock out as thats where people congregate
Allowed come to work in overalls which was always a no no ,so no need to be in locker rooms
Temp taken at the start of every shift
Small temporary workshops set up for maintenance ,only 2 allowed in at one time
2 face masks given every day
It can be done ,just means thinking outside the box
Building sites is a different matter
