Ending the lockdown won’t necessarily bring foreign students back though. I think international travel flows will be reduced for quite some time. The problem is the funding model for universities. They make more from international students than domestic.

We can’t have an endless lockdown but what we do need is to buy time to get mass testing and contact tracing apps developed so that sections of the economy can re-open and most people can resume a normal life. However, there are sectors which are going to be shut down longer. As I’ve mentioned in this thread before, my wife is a self-employed classical musician and there is no chance orchestras will be playing concerts again for the foreseeable.

This is becoming worse than nightmare, those who are "recovering" are testing positive again after weeks without becoming sick again, those who are testing positive without any symptoms are testing positive well over 30 days after they first tested positive.

This explains why in Italy 35 days after lock-down thousands of new daily infections and hundreds are still dying.

I read somewhere a while back that the virus can become dormant and you'll get a negative result but the virus can reactivate and you'll test positive again. So you were never really rid of the virus in the first place.

In Northern Ireland the Public Health Agency publishes daily COVID-19 statistics which include the number of new confirmed cases each day.

Coronavirus.gov.uk has data on the number of new cases each day.

Or the tests aren't reliable? Why isn't that questioned in those articles at all. Immediately it's assumed it's a nightmare virus that never goes away rather than asking questions of the tests

Mate my logic tells me you have several active restraining orders against you and for good reason.

Asian countries are so much better prepared for this than us due to exposure to more of these types of virus. Hence how they’ve appeared to get away with relatively few issues. If there was a sudden outbreak of CJD globally I’m sure we’d fare far better than them thanks to recent dealings with the type of disease.

What I dont get is how can people be forced to wear face masks mandatory in public once lockdown is over when pubs and restaurants etc open back up?

Whats the point in walking around shops wearing face masks to only then take them off when you go for a bite to eat etc?

Belgium's death toll per million of the population is twice ours, which is grim.

There's no difference. That's my point. So it doesn't matter what colour of the skin is , Americans are being affected and dying irregardless to their skin colour.

It's absolutely racism in its purest form to distinguish a difference .
