Don't need to even observe the guy socially to know what an utter he is. Even his mum would agree.

I have several times and I can confirm that he truly is a massive bellend.
My in built prejudices always thought this would be the the case... My confirmation bias is normally correct. And i have no desire to be proven otherwise.

Liverpools economy relies heavily on the universities. The universities rely on foreign students and news reaches me that the number of enrolments from foreign students for September is catastrophically low. This lockdown needs to end asap and an economic recovery plan put into place. The consequences of an endless lockdown go far beyond short term deaths rates. The picture is much bigger.

Most people don’t care about the bigger picture, they prefer to just deify NHS workers and bang a few pots and pans.

The UK's CV cases/deaths numbers have been persistently high and the flattening has been a very jagged and uneven affair. When all is said and done it looks like we're going to be one of the worst affected countries. Maybe our lockdown measures haven't been stringent enough. Whatever the case, I think its looking increasingly likely that serious questions will need to be addressed.

We can’t have an endless lockdown but what we do need is to buy time to get mass testing and contact tracing apps developed so that sections of the economy can re-open and most people can resume a normal life. However, there are sectors which are going to be shut down longer. As I’ve mentioned in this thread before, my wife is a self-employed classical musician and there is no chance orchestras will be playing concerts again for the foreseeable.

I imagine regional variations may account for some of this? London may be plateauing but large regional cities may be in the surge phase? They said the surge was anticipated in NI between 6th and 20th April. So far the number of confirmed new cases has been steady. It jumped to 128 in a day last Thursday I think and then has fallen back to around 80-90 per day. To note NI is about 3% of the UK total population.

Yes and theres no provision or plan to carry out this mass testing and tracing. It's a farce and people know it, loads of traffic about today and people milling around in the park. This government's reaction and actions are not being respected at all.

Have I told you about the time he got chinned in the County Court? He's one of the biggest tits I've ever unfortunately met, and I've met bloody loads of them.

This in an impression of me during it.

Many years ago they used to have a stay behind in the bar every Sunday night and he was usually there with his entourage.

It was painful to be in his company when he`d had a drink.

His other hangout was Squires ( remember that ! ) and he was just as bad in there too.

Seems confirmed cases staying steady again. Just need this to continue for the next week and then we might start seeing a decline.
