Think they were shared in a tweet or something earlier. Something to keep in mind with the stats, tragic though they are, is that many of those in nursing homes are in palliative care, so are dying anyway, COVID just made the process a bit faster. It's a tough environment though for sure, not least because the instances of dementia etc. in care homes makes it very difficult to do any kind of social distancing, and of course, the staff are much more tactile than nurses in ICU, so the risk of spreading must be greater.
Sorry mate I meant the OBR report on the effect of CV-19 on the UK economy

As regards care homes I'm sadly very familiar with how they operate and.fully agree with you

Fair play.
NZ seem to have dealt with this in a very clear and concise way, not to mention very effectively.

The UK on the other hand have bumbled their way through it after the apparent initial hope that it was just something or nothing.

All the warning signs were clearly there to see.

NZ have far more sheep per 100,000 population. Sheep are known to be a receptor of the virus and effectively hoover it up and neutralise it

This is why I’ve just bought 20 sheep for the garden.....

I just made all that up but expect some to take it as gospel and there will now be a national shortage of sheep

I'm referring more to the people BMI classes as overweight and that need to lose weight that clearly aren't.
A fun aside about BMI - years ago I blacked out at the gym, had to go the GP and saw a locum as usual doc was on holiday. She sent me to get a heart scan as I was constantly dizzy. Scan comes back as I have an enlarged heart and a high BMI so get referred to a specialist.

Open the door to the specialists office on the day of my appointment and he literally starts laughing as soon as I get in. I’m probably at the athletic peak of my life and have muscles on muscles. My heart is enlarged because of the amount of cardio I do. But because the handbook says enlarged heart and high BMI the GP had panicked. It’s literally the worst measure ever.

Turns out I kept holding my breath while lifting and had an ear infection.

Yeah BMI is insanely basic. Basically every athlete outside of football would be overweight because of the required muscle and those people aren't in bad shape. It just doesn't factor in enough.
