If Aaron Sorkin was writing his speeches, he'd give one saying that as a father of course he would lie and cheat and do anything for his children and that is precisely why the system has to be changed so the rich and powerful can't cheat the NHS etc

Exactly.

No, from the (limited) stuff I’ve just seen on the socials, it’s very much playing the man. Unhappy about him talking over people, bullying them, and not let the politician answer questions.

This is what he always does, he just usually employs it against vegan sausage rolls.

I can’t stand the guy or his style. but am perfectly willing to admit that he’s asked good questions during this crisis

Personally I think he's just done his usual.

He's doing the American media personality thing of picking a side and going big on it. If he has an opinion, he makes sure it's a loud one so he's relevant. He's a polished Katie Hopkins and all about desperate relevance.

Bad bell, and a symptom of our media going the wrong way entirely - more the person and presenter for ratings and relevance, than the news itself.

What do you mean about the homes?
Homes will be built with a facility to self isolate
Ensuite bedrooms will become the norm
Larger houses with granny flats will be more widely sought after
Houses with home offices often in more rural locations will become prime real estate
I know one owner of a large cleaning contract company (over 1000 workers),and they are saying that with working from home being successful that companies will require smaller offices and therefore less cleaners.
On the other hand they are training up cleaners to do deep cleans as he can see them becoming more popular
People will reevaluate their lives and their businesses and adjust and change accordingly
It may seem extreme but their is a genuine fear that this could become a once in a decade occurance rather than a once a century occurance

I don't think she was laughing at the numbers or the deaths. I took it that she was laughing because Piers Morgan wouldn't let her speak.
I can't stand the man, but he wouldn't let her waffle on about 'the important thing here' or say over and over 'we're working really hard to...'

He asked specific questions multiple times and she either didn't want to give an answer or couldn't but didn't want to say that.

im not arguing with any of that and I think the lockdown is maybe pushing at the seams but decisions were made abd they seem counter to much of Europe .

Would cancelling Cheltenham have made any difference ? I’ve no idea I know personally someone whose died who was there and a neighbour who went returned and was ill and his wife has now been in hospital for about 9 days . Is there a link , well you’d think so and obviously that could be a minor anomaly but if it’s not that’s extended nationally it’s a huge impact isn’t it ?
Was letting 300 people from a virus hotspot in Madrid into Liverpool a mistake ,probably
Was cancelling the Ireland italy rugby game but letting 3000 Italians from mainly North Italy travel to Dublin, definitely
Lessons will be learned, its weather they will be acted on is the worry
As islands we should have been in the same position as New Zealand ,however money spoke louder than people's lives

Not against Biden he won't and like everyone else in charge no matter how poor the performance he has had a bump in ratings. I genuinely doubt the sincerity of some top dems about wanting to win the election
Who will want to clean up the social and financial mess this pandemic will cause
IMF says this will be the worst recession since the great depression and may even lead to another depression
No wonder political parties are shying away from power.
In Ireland I would say Mary Lou is thrilled she did not get a majority now

Which just shows how many people may well have this thing already- assuming around 90% of people who get it dont have any symptoms - how many in the UK are already either in hospital or at home with mild symptoms?

I imagine its not far fetched to assume close to millions have already had/got it.

I agree. That 15% figure has a wide margin of error, but if anything I think it'll tend to underestimate the true infection rate. Late stage pregnant women are not likely to be attending big group functions. Also it will be very country-specific, as we know the progression of the virus is at different stage in different countries.

He's a dreadful person but he actually did a better job than most in the run up to the general election with his interviews
