I've never played football professionally either but I think Steven Gerrard made a mistake when he slipped and let Demba Ba in.

Maybe I'm wrong about that. After all, apparently you have to do a thing to have an opinion on things, right?

Pfft.
Not to millions of people all over the world he didn't lol

She came across as completely incompetent and not across her brief very well.

But I struggle to watch GMB political interviews these days. They are just a shouting match where the guest is barely allowed to speak over Morgan, and this was yet another example. And I don't need all that noise when I've just rolled out of bed lol

Mainstream media is getting worse all the time. A good interviewer says as little as possible, but when they speak it matters and is right to the point.

They are just 6 months into 5 year fixed term parliament. They can afford to behave like this because we gave them 80 seat majority. And we cant say we were not warned. We've had 10 years of it now.

He has two children and his kids have probably already\or will jump the que to get tested, which is most likely why he won't comment on it.
If Aaron Sorkin was writing his speeches, he'd give one saying that as a father of course he would lie and cheat and do anything for his children and that is precisely why the system has to be changed so the rich and powerful can't cheat the NHS etc

It’s amazing to look on social media now, and find that the people who used to love Piers Morgan when he was bleating on about vegan sausage rolls and shouting at transgender people, suddenly now have a big problem with him employing his usual bluster against Tory politicians.

In case anyone accuses me of hypocrisy in the other direction. I thought he was a nobhead before, and haven’t changed my mind on that.

Good for you mate.

Never change your opinion on anything.

Pick a side, pick an opinion and stick to it.

No.

Matter.

What.

In happy to change my opinion as the facts change. Morgan has asked decent questions around PPE and today on care homes. Doesn’t get him off the hook for being a prize bellend for years.

It’s more that those who have defended his style when employed on an issue which they agree with, are now screaming about that same style when they happen to disagree.

Even a stopped nobhead is right twice a day.

So they're giving an opinion on the matter, rather than the man?

Playing the ball rather than the man, so to speak.

That's healthy, IMO, an open mind and certainly not something to sneer at.

Too many people now allow a person or a side to dictate their response.

No, from the (limited) stuff I’ve just seen on the socials, it’s very much playing the man. Unhappy about him talking over people, bullying them, and not let the politician answer questions.

This is what he always does, he just usually employs it against vegan sausage rolls.

I can’t stand the guy or his style. but am perfectly willing to admit that he’s asked good questions during this crisis

In an N=251 sample, 15% tested positive, of which 88% were asymptomatic

Which just shows how many people may well have this thing already- assuming around 90% of people who get it dont have any symptoms - how many in the UK are already either in hospital or at home with mild symptoms?

I imagine its not far fetched to assume close to millions have already had/got it.

I can see your reasoning here pete but you must be concerned by the flip flopping. Because as much as anything that’s what’s worried me . Mass gatherings are fine , no they aren’t ; schools are safe , no they aren’t they’re shut for months actually we might open them and herd immunity is the way to go , actually we never mentioned herd immunity .

I’d feel a lot happier if the message or planning was consistent. I’ve no issue with a plan evolving but this certainly doesn’t feel like this .
At least in Ireland we were told the plan from the start
No bull ,no lies
We were told we had not got enough PPE
Told we had not got enough testing capability and it was being ramped up
We have been kept informed at every step
WE even got told what they did not know and what they were making up as they went along
Admitted we messed up on clusters and nursing homes ,but got it right on schools and hospitals
I have no love for our present Government but Varadkar ,Harris (health minister ~) and esp the CMO Tony Holohan have come out of this with great credit
I think if Boris had been as equally honest with the British public I think they would have cut him more slack
