So Everton fans are happy to sell our bightest young talent to 1 of our rivals?

Interesting.

How are City one of our rivals ? He's at his peak market value, makes sense to me.

As for Adebayor as part of the deal, its just not going to happen, for a start he'd have to take a wage cut to come here, and he's got European teams interested in him. Maybe Bellamy, though if Cardiff come up i imagine he'd want to stay with his hometown club.

True we've just beaten City and there's every chance we'll leave them behind again next season. Bellamy's a bit of a ****ehawk really, so ideal for Cardiff, Liverpool etc, but needs more class for us.

UTD's the team we really need to measure our progress against, not City. 19 titles is an unprecented record, can see them beating Barca as well.

I'd prefer to keep him. He appears to be written off a bit already here....?

If Adebayor wanted to join us, I'd eat my hat. If we signed him, I'd probably eat all of your hats

Rodwell will be a excellent player, only injuries and the way he leads his life will get in the way of that. He has far too much about him, his raw attributes alone will get him to a very decent level. Once the game time and experience kicks in, the sky's the limit really. I'm hoping we can keep hold of him and raise enough money in other areas, but we'll have to see how it goes on that front. I wouldn't outright reject 18-25 million for him though, it's alot of money, and we should consider all our options. The likes of Arteta, Fellaini and Baines included, everyone has a price.

I agree with Chang Elephant aswell, a manager with different ideas would probably be better for him. That being said, he's big enough for Moyes to mould him into one of those battering rams he likes upfront. He's quick enough to chase a Neville chip into the channel aswell. Who knows, we'll have to wait and see.

Gents the most sensible comments I have read!

Along with whoever said the the thread was depressing, sorry cba looking back again.

Also the only reason City would be interested in Jack in particular is because he young and English, therefore they will not be putting Milner or Johnson into any deal as guess what so are they!!!!

Adebayor don't make me laugh, like the outpost Reidy.

If we've took six points off City, four off Spurs and Liverpool then there's no reason why we can't beat Independiente on away goals. Wake up everyone and believe.

Milner or Johnson, and cash for me. It makes perfect sense to get a top class wideman and cash for a centre mid who doesn't get in our team. Fellaini, Arteta, and Osman are all ahead of him.

I agree, but i dont think a swap deal will materialise. If anyone is stupid enough to offer us 20, 25 million plus this summer for Rodwell then we have to seriously consider getting rid IMO!.

When everyone's fit i dont think he will get anywhere near the starting 11, he wont take Felli's place as he's twice the player of Rodders, and he doesnt play off the striker better or offers more than what Cahill does and tbh, he wont get in at CB either i dont think so really he is a squad player at best and we could do with a decent amount of money more than we could do with Rodwell at this moment in time.

IF we was to get silly money of say Man City, then we have to take it so we have money to improve our team with the right quality in the areas that we need to give us a fighting chance of keeping up with the teams chasing Europe.

Clearly we are resigned to the fact that we cannot develop good players with potential, so we sell for a profit. All we need is the board to come out & state this to the fans. Only then will we clearly know the ambition that the board have for this club.

If you consider that we could never afford to buy back a player like Rooney, then we can only hope that our Academy will bear fruit for us. It has, of course, but why are we failing at taking these players that one extra step? What is the missing piece of the puzzle? Is it Moyes? Is it Round? Who is responsible for player development here?

If you managed to sign Milner, it would obviously be a very good signing, no idea what formation you lot play, but I'd presume having him and Fellaini in the middle (if you play 4-4-2) would be very good, defensive and attack minded players and very good ones at that.

But Milner prefers playing in the middle and came off shaking his head after playing on the Wing for Citeh. If you need wingers then Milners probably not the man.
