Has anyone actually read the article ? Man City are said to be "considering an offer" - nothing firmer than that, no sources quoted. Everton "could be tempted" by a cash plus players deal - in whose opinion ?

There may or may not be a grain of truth in that City are interested in Rodwell. All the rest is idle speculation. Nothing to get excited about.

Sort of agree, but I'd say a midfielder costs a bit less. £25m for me or they can do one.

Seriously, Evertonians are writing him off? Sure, he hasn't broken through yet, but he also hasn't had an injury-free season. Or even a good run of games.

That said, we're broke and we need new signings. £20+ million -- or if I'm being cheeky, £10-15m + Adebayor -- could be what we need to do well next season, assuming we spend the spare cash on a wide player, and not servicing debt.

Agree with both points. As much as I hate to lose him, we desperately need the funds, and these funds - assuming he'd get to use a large portion, would mean Moyes basically would feel like he won the lottery.

I'll take the strikers since we need them so bad (though Bellamy's personality doesn't seem like it would be a fit here, no?). The only thing I remember about James Milner is Steve Cherundolo tearing him a new one at the World Cup. No thanks.

Milner or Johnson, and cash for me. It makes perfect sense to get a top class wideman and cash for a centre mid who doesn't get in our team. Fellaini, Arteta, and Osman are all ahead of him.

Hell i'd probably do a straight swap, him for Rodwell, any cash extra would be a bonus.
