You could say the same about Liverpool and Robertson, Gomez, Alexander-Arnold. Put them in with better experienced players and they are ok and learning their trade and progressing.
Answer the question please Dave.

I don't know why you insist on them being good enough for the team's above us. Surely the position we're in right now is rebuilding mode? It's not important we break into the top 5/6 next season. We first have to find a style and method to give us a chance of laying down foundations. These lads are well capable of contributing to that task.
Is this a tacit admission that when we got shut of Roberto the much sought after decision to go with brawn rather than brain; fitness over finesse; territory over possession was the wrong one to make?
Now I'm not equating RM's Everton with Guardiola's City (in fact, this has nothing much to do with either man but all to do with the chosen methodological route wanted by fans and provided in the last two FT managerial appointments).
Have we learned a harsh lesson here over the last two seasons? I think we have. There was a hasty retreat made back to Moyes era football at a time when Moyes era football has simply broken down as a model. I think we're lost as a club and we need some drastic surgery to at least put us back on the road to renewal. There's no going back to Moyes. There's no future in that. I just wonder whether yesterday's game and fan reaction to it will have given those in decision making positions pause for thought.
Or conversely it could be seen as a (slightly obtuse I know) dig at the present regime...look, see, THIS is what we want, THIS is what we should be aiming to do, THIS is what the motto ACTUALLY means.Whilst you can admire another teams footy, to have clapped Man City them is a tad daft, Moshiri would have probably looked at it as justifying his 'expected defeat' to them on his list.
Agreed. Individuals will have their own reasons for applauding City, but quality football should always be appreciated. You pay good coin to watch a game & it's well worth appreciating good football, even if we're on the receiving end of a hiding. They're also about to be crowned Champions so well done to them, regardless of how they got there.Or conversely it could be seen as a (slightly obtuse I know) dig at the present regime...look, see, THIS is what we want, THIS is what we should be aiming to do, THIS is what the motto ACTUALLY means.
But there's none so blind as he who will not see.
I think Moshiri doesn't have a clue footballing wise, but hes listened to some who've kidded him that they do, now he thinks its all gospel.
He gets it wrong this time and there's no coming back...it will be hard enough from where we are now, nevermind if things get worse
It used to be called sportsmanship, old fashioned i know. When you have blues hating on fellow blues for applauding a footballing masterclass, you really can appreciate why we are called bitters by the [Phrase removed]!Agreed. Frauds don't have a philosophyBobbys philosophy is as defunct as Sams. Neither win enough football matches and are equally as boring.
Only ever left a game once before,Tranmere,0-3,was own a tight schedule for a "hot date" that nightlol, and yesterday saw three minutes of injury time come up and thought "sod this"![]()
The two clowns that preceded the BFS wouldn't know what that was even if it bit them in the heinie.Mate, I didn't create the thread to get a proxy "Martinez woz ace" bun fight going. I just believe that yesterday's reaction by our fans to being schooled denotes an admission that we turned our backs unwisely on 'method/philosophy' and toward some clueless pragmatism that was always going to get us in trouble in this day and age. As said, the Moyes numb nuts era of football by sweat is gone. That was our mistake and continues to be our mistake if we dont learn from the last two apointments.
I stayed behind to clap because we won the 2nd half. Not many teams win a half of football against a side like that, so it’s the least our lads deserved after 45 min of hard graft.
Like I`ve previously posted, I think at least some of those clapping were being ironic.Moving away from the usual Martinez argument, I think clapping the team who haven’t even had to put in any effort to annihilate the team you’re supposed to know and love is utterly embarrassing. I don’t care one bit about “traditions” and how we’ve done it in the past, City weren’t even out of second gear, truly made me cringe.
All we ever needed, or need was 'The Goldilocks Option' of not to much Moyes and not too much Martinez. Both got carried away with their own Philosophical Infallibilities
In its present incarnation the DoF model has not worked, personally I dont like it, if I was manager I wouldnt be too happy if I got the sack due to the poor performance of players...is foisted too harsh a word?...foisted on me then being told 'you're the coach, coach him so he DOES fit the way we play'
Moshiri has set us back, hes over promised and under delivered
If he gets it wrong this June, as Ive said before we may well do a Sunderland and in the process he may very well bankrupt both himself and the club.
New stadium or not good luck to his retirement fund in trying to sell us on for 800M when half or more of that is long term debt
Which I can see without difficulty...and despite the poo poo-ers, saying what do you know and/or it'll never come to that. All ending up on OUR balance sheet and not Moshiri's
