Current Affairs China and its treatment of minorities

I'd like to thank Dodgy Dave for calling out my use of the word 'mafia'. I realise that this is unacceptable.

I will instead refer to those Chinese criminals who are taking advantage of Cambodia's lax laws on money laundering, to become the most criminally active foreigners in Cambodia, as 'triads'.

Ive forgotten the name now but a Chinese client of a friend of mine has built or is building a condo in Phnom Penh.

Needless to say that sounds like theres going to be an invasion there as well.

Past couple of days in manila the media have been reporting enormous queues outside GUCCI and LV of chinese customers...

Locals up in arms as theyre ignoring the social distancing laws here and of course ignoring the guards. Quite distasteful behaviour really and yet no way they will be punished...

Alot of signs here in buildings are now also in chinese and they raised a chinese flag as well in an area on the outskirts of manila after defecating on filipino monuments.

We, the West, have funded the growth of what will be the biggest country problem on the planet. China will bully, bribe and push boundaries to get what it wants. The U.K. used to do exactly the same so at least we should understand the playbook. But in the same way that the USA worked to knock the U.K. off its perch, it will have to do even more to do the same to China. I can only hope that with the help of the U.K. and other western powers that it is able to do so, otherwise get used to our new gruppenfuhrers.....we need to get behind India......

A great bunch of lads, something about Westerners abroad here.

Writing this with a heavy heart.
Just saw the actual law posted in hk gov site but taken down within an hour.

some ridiculous points I will like to point out.

anyone who damage traffic light can be punishable with life sentence

Anyone who criticise government will be sentence to 10 years imprisonment.

anyone who oppose the government will be prosecuted under the law

and the most ridiculous of all.

Any person regardless of nationality or location who oppose or criticise the regime will be deemed breaking the law

The world must help HK

The world must unite and stop them now. It’s not too late to curb them financially and cripple their state own enterprise that is feeding the regime and funding their intrusive foreign policy aimed at imposing their system on other country one by one.

failing to do so at this stage will inevitably lead to war within a decade. By that time, sanctions will be totally ineffective because China is working non stop to create a parallel financial system that rivals the western monopoly and any sanctions will be ineffective.

What is it with traffic lights?

And if I, as a Brit who has never been to HK nor China, say they are disease spreading bellends, they can put me in jail?

technically they can, if they want to, once you step into their territory. The law is purposely written as vague as possible to cover as much as possible with as much leeway to prosecute as possible.
