Current Affairs China and its treatment of minorities

When i went to Kashgar in 2016 I was shocked by the out and out oppression of the Uyghurs there.
Checkpoint searches of Uyghurs everywhere, harrassment of them in the steet by the military/police, open racism from the Han Chinese towards them, call to prayer banned and many other overt intrusive forms of surveillance.
I couldnt take a picture of anything without the police harrasing me to delete photos even though my photos were just mundane shots of the markets or streets.
Lots of the Uyghurs being displaced and the Chinse government moving in Han Chinese as settlers.
Only thing it all looked like to me was a slow process of ethnic cleansing.

Was a beautiful city though and the Uyghurs are some of the warmest kindest people I have ever met. And the food was just incredible

No. I never said that, did I? I said I prefer their strong approach to law and order.
Law and order is such a wide topic, would you care to elaborate on which aspects you prefer?

I'm sure aspects such as the detention and re-education of ethnic minorities like the uyhgurs is not what you have in mind, so I would be interested to know which parts you like
