It's axiomatic: you cant condemn China in isolation. It makes no sense. China's misdemeanours in Hong Kong, for example, cannot be understood without knowledge of the context in which it happens: conflict and competition with the west, and the US in particular.

tbh, I'm amazed any semblance of Hong Kong autonomy has lasted as long as it has.
The CCP don't take kindley to any form of dissent, be it, 1 person, a minority, an internal provence like HL or a Country like Taiwan, Australia or USA.
The amount of pressure they can bring to bear, usually depends on the clout of the receiving party, aka bullies.

Just a case of timing, CCP have set about tying countries into trade deals and now have economic clout to really hurt dissenting countries. UK has gobbled what the CCP has to offer same as the EU and USA. Happy to say I was a protester to uncle XI visit, we were much maligned and mocked by Tory Government, and his security way more than Trump's, says it all really.

Non of the hk people will tell you they do this because of US, Do you actually know their demands? You talk as if you know but you’re pathetically misguided by nothing but your own believe. The US can step out of the way and hker will still be on the street fighting for something which was promise by China and not given.

Is the Hong Kong situation relevant to China's treatment of minorities? Yes it is.

I linked an article from a Washington based journal, 'The Diplomat', above. It provides a discussion (with sources) of US funding of right wing groups in Hong Kong who have hijacked the genuine and peaceful protests of Hong Kong citizens in order to use it as cover for their own racially and culturally prejudiced purposes.

My point: we could do with more viewpoints on the issue of CCP assaults on its own population, but you dont seem to want that context, and I wonder why.

We both condemn the Beijing regime for their heavy handedness; but I alone look for the reasons they do it beyond them being 'evil' and Chinazis'.

Because of that, your input looks frenzied and without credibility.

You're going to have to look for the grey areas; you have to explain and not just condemn.

Im in Philippines. Theres literally ZERO correlation here to China and its treatment of minorities.

In fact, the only link is that they are both investing, and invading the philippines through both legal (and illegal) means.
