In addition to all the criticism already aimed at this decision, how on earth can it be deemed legally fair and OK for the same tribunal (as in the same three individuals) who found we were in breach of PSR and sentenced us (later reduced on appeal) to be the ones who make the decision in this case, too.

It cannot be anything other than being punished twice (or multiple times if every club who lost out to us in the PSR breach years) for the same offence by the same body; nor could it ever be said to be independent given that they'd already ruled on the case in another format.

So basically, we can’t refuse to pay them directly because the PL will just deduct it from payments they owe us? Ludicrous. Hope we take it to a real court.

Yeah, thats wild, didnt realize it was the exact same people. Its crazy they allowed them to rule again. It may make it that much easier on appeal though, because if their statements in the first decision differ from the second its an obvious inconsistency.

I might sue Everton. They've not done anything to me (other than years of misery), but their lawyers are so bad I fancy my chances.

Wow. Only just saw the club statement.

Really is the punishment that keeps on giving.

Fully expect us to lose the appeal, have to pay the fine, and probably others will then sue us as well.

Let's not complicate things, just tell it how stupidly it is, Burnley are suing us because of a choice the PL made in enforcing rules & applying punishments that everybody including Burnley agreed to

That would give us no basis for appeal.
