Burnley Case

Correct me if im wrong....

Didn't the original panel accept that we gained no sporting advantage?

How can they decide now that we did?

Also they're clearly prejudiced as anything other than finding us guilty would make a mockery of their original decisions
No quite the opposite. They specifically stated that we had gained a sporting advantage and that's why they were giving us a points deduction. They also stated that really the points deduction should have been given in the season that it happened, which was effectively the entire basis of Burnley's claim.

Haven't kept up with this in the past hour or so. So the same panel that said we gained a sporting advantage and should have been punished in the same season was assigned to this, and essentially just rubber-stamped their own original decision? Shocking.

Are the club going to put out any statement at some point.
  • you've had good times
  • the money is ring fenced
  • the cheque is in the post
  • that's agm's off the menu from now
  • I'll get you in a headlock if you don't watch out
  • happily dissatisfied
  • budweiser on tap, get your chops around that for £8
  • riquelme signs in the morning
take your pick...

That was a very grim era in everton history which we seem to have come through. Everything moshiri touched turned to the brown stuff. Burnley deserve the money but like someone else said, i wish it would come out of moshiri's pocket.

Rather than acting like city we should pay it and look forward to a brighter future.

Then you must also agree that it wasn't our fault that the points deduction was not given us that season that was up to the premier league who didn't do that.

So because interest on a stadium loan pushed us over the PSR limit we owe Burnley £40 million!

Until the next team comes along you mean and jumps on the bandwagon against us, yeah great idea mate.

It doesn't follow that I 'must agree' at all, i'm just saying what they actually said not giving my own opinion. There are lots of people who clearly never read or even vaguely looked at the original decisions who keep repeating stuff which just isn't correct and it's not hugely helpful in threads like this.

As it happens yes I do agree (for reference the panel itself said at the time that it was not the fault of either Everton or the PL that the decision hadn't been made in time).
