I parked on love lane as my dad has a blue badge, he does struggle with his knees especially in the cold. My dad’s mate though, his dad is over 80 and disabled and he couldn’t walk that.
The council have totally made a mess of the transport and parking situation. The club only have 52 disabled parking spots, yet we have 1000s of disabled fans and public transportation during match day ain’t disabled friendly. The council need to sort it out.
52 spaces for 52k fans, where is this printed anywhere we can read?

0.1% innit? Well done everton

You mean like me? - then it’s either apply for the blue badge spots I think read there is about 250( I might be making that up), or get dropped off.
I'm in the same situation, I'm more mobile than a lot of people, but I'm dreading the thought of struggling back to Sandhills and then having to stand and get jostled about in the OK coral there. I can see that being a free for all especially when you throw in a couple of thousand away fans who don't take kindly to a few chorus of "get down to goodison park".
I have a blue badge, but so does 2/3 of Liverpool, and the other third can get hold of one every other Saturday.
I currently get the soccerbus from Sandhills on match days and it's bad enough now.

The grounds at the World Cup, Qatar, had supporters walking miles to access the ground.
Sometimes, in weird routes. For the less able they ran these huge golf buggies, seating 8, up and down the routes. You had to show proof of need. ( the locals didnt, they used them as taxis!) You were still dropped off a fair wedge from the ground though.
Anyway, im off to price a rickshaw.....

It was on the official website regarding parking but can’t seem to find it now. My dads mate also spoke to the club and asked about disabled parking, they said they have 52 spaces but 100s have applied for it.

Need one of these from Town

Can’t believe they’ve not discussed Park & Ride schemes. Anyone who’s been to the British Open golf will know most of those courses are set in fairly rural places with no major roads (Birkdale, Hoylake, Troon etc..), yet they manage to get 250’000 spectators in & out every day. They have a series of car parks dotted around with shuttle busses leaving every 5-10 minutes. OK, they’re not all arriving & leaving at exactly the same time, but it’s 250k, not 50k. And the bars & entertainment at BMD should help spread out the stampede.
They are weekly attendances figure not daily.
