52 spaces for 52k fans, where is this printed anywhere we can read?I parked on love lane as my dad has a blue badge, he does struggle with his knees especially in the cold. My dad’s mate though, his dad is over 80 and disabled and he couldn’t walk that.
The council have totally made a mess of the transport and parking situation. The club only have 52 disabled parking spots, yet we have 1000s of disabled fans and public transportation during match day ain’t disabled friendly. The council need to sort it out.
I'm in the same situation, I'm more mobile than a lot of people, but I'm dreading the thought of struggling back to Sandhills and then having to stand and get jostled about in the OK coral there. I can see that being a free for all especially when you throw in a couple of thousand away fans who don't take kindly to a few chorus of "get down to goodison park".You mean like me? - then it’s either apply for the blue badge spots I think read there is about 250( I might be making that up), or get dropped off.
It was on the official website regarding parking but can’t seem to find it now. My dads mate also spoke to the club and asked about disabled parking, they said they have 52 spaces but 100s have applied for it.52 spaces for 52k fans, where is this printed anywhere we can read?
0.1% innit? Well done everton
That's known as the triumph of hope over experience!I think the parking issue and public transport to Bramley Moore will be different and much better in August when we play our first proper match there.
They are weekly attendances figure not daily. Can’t believe they’ve not discussed Park & Ride schemes. Anyone who’s been to the British Open golf will know most of those courses are set in fairly rural places with no major roads (Birkdale, Hoylake, Troon etc..), yet they manage to get 250’000 spectators in & out every day. They have a series of car parks dotted around with shuttle busses leaving every 5-10 minutes. OK, they’re not all arriving & leaving at exactly the same time, but it’s 250k, not 50k. And the bars & entertainment at BMD should help spread out the stampede.
Hopefully with less guns involved but there are jealous kopites everywhere that you have to be ready for.
