Is there parking provided near the ground for away fans coaches/minibuses?

If there is, hire a 16 seater for the day, advertise it on here, meet at Goodison 2-3 hours before kick off, charge £10 per head, drive to BMD and call yourself an away coach… ;)

People can either have a lift back to Goodson after or do what they want. Who needs a monorail, trams, trains… eh!

If there is no parking for away coaches/minibuses near the ground please disregard this post and make your own arrangements.

Be interested to see if anyone starts doing water taxis from the Albert dock way down to the stadium. Bring back the unsafe duck boats!!! Also would love to see if anyone tries doing anything along the Venetianesque Leeds Liverpool Canal…..

You mean like me? - then it’s either apply for the blue badge spots I think read there is about 250( I might be making that up), or get dropped off.

Can you get a taxi nearby or will roads be closed?

If driving, from a quick skim of council stuff for test event - I think you'll need permit as well as blue badge

Grand Old Team dot com forward slash forum water taxis coming up

For me, I currently park in the car park on Anfield Road, I don’t mind paying having had my rear window smashed in for no reason on street parking.

There is no public transport from High Lane, Stockport - I could bus it to Stockport, then train to Liverpool, but there are no returns, other than on Saturday at 15:00 kick off. I could get there but not get back. Will involve about 3 hours travelling in each direction, given the poor transport, when it is feasible.

I’ll have to drive to somewhere and park up, then either hike miles or get public transport, with which I have no idea of availability etc.

LCC have all but made it impossible for me.

As far as I know - very long time ago, there used to be a market in the old dock market, which is now being made into flats I think, behind that is/was dedicated parking for probably about 500+ cars(?) (Great Howard Street)

That was very well policed and had traffic wardens handing out tickets every Sunday. But there WAS parking spaces.

I’d personally want to drive + walk. As close as I could, it’s a limitation we had at Goodison, we had to park in Anfield or whatever and walk, this problem is bigger now cos the ground holds more people.

I can’t walk from any of the stations, plus if it’s gonna be rammed people like myself who can neither stand or walk for long will be goosed. If I have to it’s park and ride from the station & walk, but that’s a last resort.

I really want to see what the EDSCA say before anything, disabled people are more disproportionately impacted every single time.

But in short, if you can walk, and bus/train, that’s your best option, if you can’t - your fate is the hands of the council and the Club.

2 current options, which are very bad.

1. Get the train, get home 5 hours after the game
2. Park where we park now for Goodison and walk the 40minutes to BMD
