So.....just the regular playing time then ?

I'd be very surprised if Ferguson sold him to Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool or City because he won't want to help strengthen them. If he stays in this country, his options are limited. Admittedly it would be a step down for him but, with his added quality, we might be able to start knocking on the door of the top four. That could be a challenge that inspires him now that his peak is coming to an end.

Yeah i reckon we could convince the Premier League's top scorer to leave the best team in the country for a third of his salary. Just need to see if we can get Uniteds asking price down from £15m to Anichebe, a Snickers and 2 bags of McCoys.
We avent got any snickers and you can bet the McCoys will be stale!

Did you mean in terms of honours? Obviously we can't compete there, but when it's taken away from them, players value game time more than anything else.

Genuinely cannot believe we are having this discussion. He's got more ambition than to come here, we couldn't afford either their asking price or his wages.

No, just no.

Berbatov isn't good enough to get into Chelsea or Liverpool's frontline, he's not glamorous enough to go to City or not fast enough to go to Arsenal. Spurs will try to take him back after exhausting all other attacking avenue's. Either that or he will go to Serie A where 31 would make him one of the youngest in the division.

We'll see. I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility. I was saying in another thread that we could do with a clever striker in the Beardsley mould to help us create more chances. In that respect, he would be ideal.

Berba is exactly what I'd want us to be looking for, for a few reasons. But it's not going to happen, sadly.

I'd hope so mate, just a shame it can't be said for several others on here !

I can forgive people for letting their minds run wild, where Everton transfers are concerned. Simply because the only transfer action we get is the kind we make up, or see in the form of jarg rumours on talksport.

I do agree. My original query was more to do with whether people thought it was a good idea, instead of buying a younger striker, rather than whether they thought it was likely to happen. It's purely FM.

I think in the hypothetical it would be Berbs and Becks. The latter would supply the pace.

In reality Moyes will probably stick with one up top, whatever happens in the window, like.
