it's a shame that Beni and Tom Cleverly didn't play for us at the same time in the first team otherwise we could say that we had Beni and TC in midfield

I don't think he had a poor game by any stretch of the imagination, however I do feel some of the claims of a great game are perplexing.Weirdly enough i wasnt impressed with him today compared to prior matches. I thought with gana on the pitch we looked a lot better and played higher up. Our high press dissolved when he went off, and it was just wave after wave of attack after that.
But chalkboards consistently say he is playing more on the half-line rather than behind.
I stand by my view, he is not a deep-lying midfielder. He is what people called an "advanced DMC" - he sits high on the pitch to press the opposition, and forces turnovers in dangerous positions, but with the ball he would mainly delegate the job to more creative players.
Andy Dibble retired yet? Back up keeper in the window anyone?Don't forget Choo-Choo Martinez at full back...
How does he have a beard that good at 19?
I am really looking forward to more more of these kids getting their chance. Williams looks a real tidy player too!I am miffed by the mixed review on Beni, the lad has so much in his locker at 19, he oozes talent, a couple of years of proper coaching and we have such a talented player on our hands.
He is raw very raw from and has a couple of coaching perspective, but you can see the talent a mile of, what he needs to learn can all be coached and comes with experience. Really impressed and excited by him.
