Beckford's scoring record

Yep.

That Beckford sure showed me with his goals firing us up to the lofty heights of 10th place.

How many chances has he missed? How many poor touches and poor passes has he made?

Sure he's done well but he's still a long way off being the kind of striker a club like us should be relying on. Come back when he's scored 20 goals.

But i'll give him credit for one thing : his presence on the pitch has helped out Saha way more than a certain other play has.

And lastly for those getting all excited by that chart, just look down 2 and 3 places lower and proclaim we should be signing Leon Best and Marlon Harewood.

Wow... You really have no life, do you? Go next door and spy on your neighbor or something.

If he doesn't get injured between now and end of the season I'm projecting 12-15 goals.

There's been some definitely changes in his game, and if his touch improves (touch at pace) then he could be BOSS for us.

Saha's all round game is better and this is why the two lads complement each other.

I see you've come out the wood work.

He's scored all six from penalties and off his arse hasn't he lad.

Well yeah. It tends to be when you're giving someone jip obviously.

But I'm just glad that Beckford on his first "step up" season's already surpassed your low expectations.

That no doubt winds you up.

Haha superb work.

I'm glad Beckford is doing well and he's doing better than i expected. If you think that winds me up it shows what an idiot you are.

Bit like digging up old posts to try and show people up.

6 Englishmen in the top 20. Speaks volumes. 3 Evertonians though, gotta be happy with that.

Indeed, and not ONE of them is regarded as one of England's first choice strikers !! If Cappello was true to his word and indeed picked players on form rather than reputation then our Jermaine would be England's first choice striker alongside Marlon Harewood - two strikers who up until recently, the closest they'd of ever gotten to wearing an England shirt now is if they bought one off Sports Direct , and not Wayne Rooney or some one like ,Peter Crouch.

No matter how much your raking in per week wages or what big time glamour team you may play for - These figures don't lie !

Well done Jermaine ! Not bad son..not bad at all :D

Show people up? Or show what they said then?

The funny thing is there's more to come from Beckford potentially. Now that really is irony ... given he supposedly scored them all from penalties and off his arse.

made up beckford got a couple, even if both of them where badly mis-hit....but they all count. He's a top bloke and even when he is missing he is still putting himself in the positions and not hiding away. Hopefully he will get a few more before the end of the season and then next season will a more rounded player

I think Becks and Saha if fit and playing like they are, should get the nod every game...

Cahill can rotate in the midfield with Arteta/ Rodwell/ Fellaini

Becks needs to be given a chance, He is a genuine goalscorer something we have lacked for a while.

Matt Bringing all them quotes back up, you need to get out more mate, take that neighbour out show her a good time you might get a ride!

He hasn't missed a lot of chances but I'd agree that his touch has let him down on several occasions this term. I think that can only get better with continued training and experience. The sooner the better too.

As for 20 goal scorers. I don't think we've had too many of those lately.

Surely the whole thing about the goals per minute thing is that it's a stat revealing he hasn't been on the pitch an awful lot. Maybe if he'd played more he would have scored more? Good to see him playing well right now though. Hopefully he'll maintain it to the end of the season.

His goals have been class. The issue with him at the moment is composure. He's obviously very conscious of the step up that he's making, and aware that in the PL defenders don't give you any time to get your shot away. So he's always trying to swivel instantly or to fire on goal with his first touch, and that's why he's not scoring more, because sometimes he just needs to give himself an extra moment to set his sights.
