It's strange that they want a 20 goal a season striker for £3m, but the Yak doesn't fit the bill. He scored 11 goals in 20 games for them, which would work out as 25 goals over a 46 game season. We're obviously not going to get anywhere near the £6m we've been asking for. We'd possibly accept as little as £3m just to get him off the wage bill. Perhaps Sven is looking for someone younger and more mobile?

I dunno mate, how much we are willing to accept hes in the last year of his contract which aint good when we dished out 11 mill.

Personaly i would go for the Yak over Beckford, as hes a more compleate player, but its sad saying who is the best player we could sell.

So for that reason im out.

Think Beckford is on wages Leicester can afford.

They cant afford Yak who seems to not want to budge from his £50k a week. Dont blame him.

Beckford played 1,327 mintues last year (8 goals). That's .542 goals per 90 min.

Beckford had one of the best goal-to-minute ratios in the league. In his first season. When he was mostly played as a lone striker -- a role new to him.

Becks is boss and I wouldn't sell him, full stop.

Surely we need more creative thinking players who can spot through balls between and over the defence for him to run on to?

He had a release clause in his contract if they got relegated, if a club bid £1.2m, then he was allowed to move.

Theoretically yeah, but if Arteta is deep and Osman out wide and Barkley on the bench its not that easy.

Add Billy to that list as well, all players capable of spotting a run from Beckford and finding him if we are set up for them to do so.
